I am so glad I found a shop that is honest and one that I can trust. They don't tell you that you need something done unless it needs it. more

All of our experiences at Marty's are good. Our aim is to make our cars last, and we are helped to do that by Marty and his team in two ways: 1. They are careful in the way the care for our vehicle, quick to note problems and always looking for good solutions. I want to do good preventative maintenance and they help me achieve that goal. 2. The team also is careful not to do things that are not necessary,, but always willing to recommend things that need attention. They also are willing to repair and not simply replace parts. My vehicle was rather old and the problem with the computer and possibly transmission most likely would not be worth pursuing. Mechanic was honest and did not push the preliminary repairs which would have been not exactly prohibitive, but not necessarily and most likely not the solution. All I had to pay was the $99 fee to identify the problem with all the tests that they ran. I am satisfied. more

I had an issue with my brake job that was completed earlier in 2016. I took it back for adjustments. The problem was not any better. Set yet again another appointment, which I missed. The owner called about it. I explained to him that I haven't had time. He offered to pick up my truck, repair it and return it to me. He showed up on the day we scheduled, picked it up, returned it on time, fixed the problem. And oh by the way changed my oil because it was over due. Free of change. Now that's customer service. I will be a customer for life!! Thank you Marty! more

For some time now I have been urging people to get regular checkups, as opposed to only going to a mechanic when there is a problem. This is what I do and I have been happily surprised by how much money I have saved by regularly maintaining my truck. On my last check-up, however, Marty;s found an expensive (for me) problem. I was clearly surprised. Now I have a sister who takes her vehicle to a mechanic only when there is a definite problem. She can't understand my taking to truck to Marty's when it is running fine. What she fails to understand is those 'unnecessary' inspections are what keep the trunk running relatively problem free. And what if I get a problem anyway? First I am probably lucky they found the problem in the garage, and not when I was on the road. Besides, it is unreasonable to expect there will never be a mechanical problem. Problems happen. But I've been driving for fifty years and I can't ever recall a problem fixing itself. They get worse, not better, when you ignore them. And worse usually means more expensive. So, I say again: get regular inspections from a mechanic you trust, Despite the occasional problem, you will still save money over time. Mel Zeichner. more

Marty's team always does outstanding work. They're always able to diagnose issues quickly and the Service Writers (John, et al) communicate exceedingly well.....I've never had a service organization of any type keep me informed as well as this team does. Simply amazing!!! more

We've been big Marty's fans since the first time we took our first car in for what we expected to be expensive work, but they found that the problem wasn't as bad as we thought and fixed the issue for a fraction of the expected cost. Some mechanics might’ve charged us the thousands that we were expecting to pay, but Marty’s is not only highly skilled and competent, it’s honest and trustworthy as well. As usual, the most recent service was top notch and completed much faster than expected. We take all our vehicles to Marty's and will continue to do so. Thanks for the great work & the reasonable prices! more

I've always had great service at the Longwood Marty's. I've got an older vehicle so simple repairs often take longer but they never charge extra. more
