New ownership of Fantasy Island 7/5/2017

As a long time resident of Grand Island, we have become accustomed and looking forward to the Fourth of July, celebrations and FREE admission for Grand Island residents to Fantasy Island theme park after 5pm. Since the new owners have taken over, it is no longer FREE admission for residents it's $9.99 per person, no discount for handicapped, and it's now after 6pm, also we noticed that the food is still the same price but the portions are half the size, just look for the fried dough or nacho's and check it out, they also raised the regular admission prices , and not to mention some of the rides were closed or in ill-repair, so all in all not happy with the experience we had, and the new ownership changes that were made, wont be going back, Darien Lake is cheaper with a coupon from your local supermarket, and way more rides, and bigger portions. more

not so great 7/1/2010

Not so great. I have been trying to get a hold of the owner for awhile now to let him know how poorly the staff treated my family and I.... and they wont return my calls. very disappointed! Might be time to call ch.4 news. more

Martin's Fantasy Island 4/2/2006

This is a nice park for young children and families. The little amusement park is located on Grand Island. They always have specials running so it is easy to find some discounted rates or coupons on certain days when the park is open. The rides here are more for younger people but overall it is a nice place. more

Nice place for kids. 10/19/2005

We went to Fantasy Island close to the end of their season. The kids loved the rides and the shows, and the food was good. It was the end of the season however, and the vendors seemed to be running out of little things like forks and paper napkins, and would not supply us with those. Come on, we paid the same price as people who had come in the beginning of the season, we want the same service! more

Fun for the kids~~ 9/20/2005

They seem to have alot of rides for all ages and heights of kids. The western show is always a favorite and the park isn't that huge so you can't get lost in it. I recommend a season's pass!!!! more

Fun for the whole family 9/7/2005

Our family loves to go to Martin's Fantasy Island because there is so much to do here. They prices are very reasonable. There are many rides as well as shows and attractions. My children's favorite would be the Wild West show and the water park. The park is divided into rides for smaller children and larger rides for older children and adults to keep everyone’s interest. more

Fantasy Island WOW!! 8/20/2005

This is a favorite for our family. We have been coming here for years. There are 100 different rides to go on. We love the water slides and the shoot outs. There is camping right next to it for the campers. The prices are not bad for a family. You can stay all day for one price. Not bad for a family day out more

Small park, but good for last minute 8/19/2005

Martin's fantasy island is a smaller amusement park. It is better for younger kids, however, if you are taking a trip to an amusement park last minute its can be a fun thing. It's cheaper than other options, and you can almost always find some kind of discount somewhere (I usually try the entertainment book etc). It has one or two roller coasters a few of the basic rides you expect, and some water type rides. Enjoy. more

If Six Flags is too far... 8/19/2005

My friends from out of town were here and they wanted to go some amusement park. Six Flags is about 2 hours from here and this was the closest amusement park. They had a lot of rides for a small park. The prices are pretty decent and you can get in for half the price if you go in the evenings. They also have a couple water rides so be sure to carry your swimming trunks and costumes with you. more

A fun family place 8/18/2005

My family always enjoys going to Martins Fantasy Island. My husband and I have been going there since we were kids. It is a good size park with quite a few things to do. You can camp in their Camp Sites located pretty much right there to make a weekend out of your visit. I think it is kind of expensive but I guess most would think it is average for a amusement park. The nice part about staying at the camp site is that you can go back to your site and eat lunch or dinner and avoid the high priced food at the part. The rides are great, a good mix for all ages. more

Fantasy Island! 8/18/2005

Fantasy Island is a great place to take the whole family! It's small but they have a good number of rides for the kids and you can camp there too. Their prices are cheap and you can get in half price if you go in the evenings! We always have a blast at Fantasy Island and I highly recommend this place! It's very clean and well maintained. You should definitely try Fantasy Island! more
