I would recommend this Museum to any Nationality and Culture. It was very exciting for my 2 young boys, and very informative regarding the African American History. Everyone needs to visit. Pros: Very Informative on the Civil Rights Movement more

After 25 years of MLK days you would think, ""My goodness what else is there to know"". I was still blown away by the movie that was shown and the Facility was well kept. I liked the fact that you could go over to the church and also outside to take pictures with the statue. I got a really good feeling being ther. My wife and I will go back, with my niece and nephew. I visited the MLK Center, Ebenezer Church, and Martin Luther Jr. Home. It was an experience will never be forgotten. It gave me a sense of pride and worth. I recommend this center to anyone with curiosity and passion for a foundation and history. The only thing that was an inconvenience to me was the distance and parking. It is a nice place to be once inside, but you have to walk between center, church, and home with others on a busy street with children. This was a hassle. And the dream is still alive and working. Growing up in the sixties, in Atlanta, the King family was legendary. My grandmother owned a small furniture store, in the Sweet Auburn area, and the King family were regular customers. But in 1967, that dream was shattered. But not our hopes for a better country for all American's. Dr.King's resting place is very peaceful, as was his philosphy about life. This is one site that you can stay at all day. From his chidhood home, to the tomb, this is Atlanta's History, and America's History! 12/1/06-Coretta Scott King is now entombed next to her husband. Check-out Rolling Bone's BBQ, after a visit! Visiting the site was absolutely awesome. We went two days and I still wanted to go back. Its just so much to see and the whole experience is moving. I'm not sure if it made a difference or not but we had a blind tour guide for the house. He was absolutely great. I dont know if he's more visual because he cant see but I couldnt have asked for a better tour guide. When he was talking, you could really imagine Sweet Auburn as it was. I HIGHLY recommend this attraction and best of all, its all free. They have museum and short movies and the church, the firehouse, the birthhome and other scattered artifacts like the wagon used in MLK's funeral procession. Atlanta was a nice city (just as any other with its pluses and minuses) but overalk MLK Historic Site is a must see for everyone! more

It´s really a special place, where anyone may have an idea of how thought was the days when the racists did whatever they want. Visting the King Memorial is possible to know why some afro-american are still upset and full of heartfellings about their social status and we may compare the shades of situation around the world. After the memorial, visit the Margaret Mitchell house and find out the, somehow, their stories are linked. Pros: historical place more

We went on a day in February, but due to poor signage, we had a hard time finding the exact site we came to see: the museum and grave. There are so many MLK this and MLK that, it's hard to find the specific place you want to start at. There certainly is no lack of sites, but a little more clarification would help. In the museum we found interesting the personal effects of both MLK, Jr. and his wife. The museum provided very little information about how MLK, Jr. grew up and the life changing experiences that brought him to his beliefs, instead there was a factually-based timeline. We ended up parking on the street because we couldn't find the parking lot. By far, the best part, because it's so significant, is the reflecting pool and the grave; it just took my breath away to be there. Admission free. My family and I visit the Martin Luther King Jr site some time ago. The history of Martin Luther King's house was just as it was many years ago. You get a chance to tour the house inside and out. Also the musem and church makes interesting site and very well upkept. My family and I had a wonderful experience and very educational. I loved it. (It was free). Pros: Free Cons: crowded more

The MLK Historic site is a must-visit for anyone in Atlanta. Between the visitors' center, the house the Dr. King grew up in, and Ebenezer Baptist Church, one is able to get a real sense of where this great man came from and all that he was able to achieve. Try to get here early in the morning, before the crowds make it difficult to see everything. Take your time and you will truly be moved by reading/seeing/hearing Dr. King's stunning contributions toward making the entire world a better place to live. Pros: Amazing history Cons: Can get crowded more
