Horrible service 1/1/2011

I went back to martha's to return two beer bottles I had pruchased a couple of weeks earlier. I had them in a plastic bag. The clerk said they do not accept bottles in plastic bags only in paper bags. I asked if I could hand him the bottles. He said no. I then asked if I could have a paper bag. He said no. I left the store, went to another store 5 miles away to make the purchace I would have made at Martha's. I asked for a paper bag. I went back to Martha's with my two bottles in the newly obtained paper bag. The clerk took the bottles out of the bag and asked if I wanted my bag back. I think this was a different clerk. Needless to say, Martha's lost a sale and a customer. Not that they care. more

Not just a hole in the wall liquor store... 12/18/2005

This looks like some little hole in the wall liqour store. However, they are very well known in Grand Rapids for carrying import beers, wines and liquors that you cannot find anywhere else. They have wonderful hours to accomodate and a very knowledgable staff as well. They also havea selection of munchies and cheeses to go with your beverage choice. Beyond excellent selection, impeccable service! more
