Dr. Schmitz has been my OB/GYN for five years and delivered my son. Her and her staff are incredibly kind, competent., and compassionate. I went to Dr. Schmitz because she came so highly recommended and I have been grateful every day since. She has the lowest C-section rate in the city and now practices with midwives. I wanted to go natural and bring in a doula and she was incredibly supportive of both. She has since been incredibly supportive and informative while I went through a bout of infertility (I am now pregnant with my second baby) and I would not have anyone else deliver my next child. I adore Dr. Schmitz and her staff (Barbara is incredible!). more

Very Professional and Caring OB/GYn 4/10/2007

I've been seeing Dr. Schmitz for years and not only has she delivered two of my children, but she has been able to solve complicated problems that I have experienced before and after delivery. She is very breastfeeding-friendly, and went out of her way to make sure that breastfeeding was only minimally interrupted when I had surgery. I alway feel that Dr. Schmitz cares about my situation and she impresses me with her knowledge and thoroughness. There are some long waits at times to see her, but it is well worth it! Pros: Caring doctor, professional Cons: Long waits more
