Steve, the owner, and his guys rebuilt my '94 Wrangler's 5-speed transmission for the lowest price I could find AND they did an honest and phenomenal job. After I picked up my Jeep, I noticed a rattling noise every once in a while when I had it 4th gear around 1500 rpms. I took it back to Steve to get it fixed, and instead of chargin me whatever he wanted and sayin whatever he wanted to say was the cause, he showed me under the Jeep where an old support bar for my muffler was banging against the frame. He bent it to the side and the rattling stopped....honest mechanics are hard to find these days so I made it a point to share my story so more people know about this rare transmission shop. \r 5 STARS!!!! more

My friend went to anorther shop and was told that his Transmission needed a lot of work. He took it to Marshalls and it didn't need anything beyond a small adjustment. That caused me to take my cars there. Their service is excellent. Their charges are fair. I would not even consider taking my transmission work any other place.\r AlaninTennessee more

These guys are amazingly honest! I went to another transmission shop after my car started having some problems with morning starts. They said I needed a complete transmission rebuild for $2400. Since I didn't have that much cash on hand, I left, planning to take it back the next week or so. A dear friend told me about Marshalls and I decided to go there and get a second quote from them. I told them the other place had already diagnosed my problem and I just needed a quote to see if I could get a better price. They looked at it and couldn't find anything at all wrong with the transmission. They kept it overnight so that they could drive it in the morning and see what I was talking about. Then they noticed a gas leak. They actually drove my car for me to another fabulous shop (Automotive Technicians) to get repairs. The other place fixed the gas leak for $320. My car is perfect. They saved me over 2K and didn't charge 1 penny!!!! If my transmission ever does go out, I can't wait to take it to Marshall's.Extreme honesty and character! It is sort of off the beaten path, but WELL WORTH the drive to take your car there. Most honest and helpful auto place I have ever heard of. more

When my transmission fluid started disappearing I feared the worst. On a tip from a friend I took my car to Marshall's. I had been to other trans shops so I thought I knew the standard transmission repair M.O. I told them to call me BEFORE doing any work. I expected them to call me with ""Your transmission needs a complete overhaul and we're almost done with the job. it'll be $1500+"". As it was I did get a call that the car was ready, but the price was less than $90. They only fixed the broken seal that was causing the leak wothout trying to gig me with un-necessary repairs.
