The Scene
These days, most Ohio City establishments are geared toward the average suburban transplant, but Marshall's remains the down-to-earth neighborhood tavern it has been as far back as anyone can remember. Tasteful but unpretentious, it appeals to the wide cross-section of folks who populate the area. In the early evening, Marshall's caters to diners with its relaxed, clean and casual setting. But around midnight, it can become a downright raucous combination of festive night owls and (mostly harmless) neighborhood crackheads. The Food
The menu is slightly pricey for bar food, but you get what you pay for. The servings are more than adequate; you may have a hard time finishing your meal before you're stuffed. The hamburgers are good, the chicken sandwiches are very good, and the fries, cut fresh every day, absolutely cannot be beat.
