ustomer service is HORRIBLE at this store. Today, I took my 8 year old daughter to buy shoes at Marshalls (225th Street, Bronx NY). She chose a pair of Skechers shoes that she loved. We stood on line to purchase it. When we got to the register, the cashier graciously told us that the shoes we brought up were not paired correctly. Both were left feet. He proceeded to contact an associate from the shoe department to help him by finding the correct pair. The associate who came was grumpy and rude to her co-worker and to me and my family. Responding to her co-worker's request, she said ""Why can't she get it herself? I don't work in the shoe department to find shoes for some lazy ass customer."" Disgusted at her behavior, we walked out of the store, refusing to purchase the shoes at Marshalls. (We got the shoes at another store) We called the manager 20 minutes later after I'd had a chance to recover from the shock of being insulted for wanting to buy shoes. The manager offered us a 10% discount after hearing the story. No thanks! Keep the 10%. I'm unlikely to come back to Marshalls.
Marshalls, I don't know what your sales training entails, but I sure hope it does not include insulting customers.
