Maretta Bakery 11/23/2005

I think Maretta's is a covienient, local bakery with average cakes and pastries. It will do in a pinch but if you want something fancy or something extra special this won't do. Their prices are great and oh they do make a great cup of coffee- love the flavors of the day!! Its right next to the LIRR on bell blvd so it's perfect for the commuter. more

Not one of my favorites 9/18/2005

I didn't like the pastries here at all. I feel they are too sweet and made to look fancy without regard to taste. As far as Italian pastries go -- I feel they are non-authentic in ingredients and design. I understand it is a popular place because it is in a very busy shopping center, but they left me very disappointed. They are expensive for the quality they offer. Sorry not a favorite of mine. more

A Great bakery 6/28/2005

This is truly a wonderful bakery. It is located right on bell blvd. They have the freshest pastries, cookies, cakes and specialty coffees. A great place to go after dinner. There are plenty of tables to sit at and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing is the parking. There are plenty of side streets around though. more
