Very good practice 6/6/2010

I have gone to this practice since I was a child. I now have 3 children of my own, and we all still go, as well as most of my extended family. I have always found the staff to be polite and competant. I usually see Dr. Bentley, who I find to be compassionate, kind, and very knowledgeable. On the rare occasions that he hasn't been able to see me right away I have seen most of the other physicians and been happy with them as well. I feel this entire practice upholds very high standards of medical care, and would recommend them to anyone. more

Marlborough Family Practice 6/2/2010

My husband and I, and our 3 children before they grew up and moved away, have been patients of Dr. Tuttle for 30 years. One of the most reassuring things about him is that on occasion, I've actually heard him say, "I don't know." That honest admission always wins my admiration; I can't think of a more dangerous doctor to have than one who speaks from a pedestal and thinks (or acts as if) he or she knows everything. Dr. Tuttle thinks out loud, listens to me, and gives his reasons for the treatments he recommends. He also answers my questions fully and listens to my reasons if I have a different take on an issue. In my long relationship with him, I have always found him professional, good-humored, and respectful of my intelligence. Another trait of his I enjoy is that he's just as enthused about his work as a doctor today as he was 30 years ago, and I have no doubt that he is diligent in keeping abreast of new medical findings. Pros: It's possible to have a 2-way conversation with my doctor. more

Fair review 12/21/2008

Like the medial industry everywhere else its all about money. I once had one of the doctors here refer me to a physical therapist for neck pain. She looked at me for 15 minutes and said there wasn't anything wrong with my neck. I saw the bill she sent my insurance company. $890 for 15 minutes. That's obscene. And to add insult to injury, my neck still hurt. No matter what, no matter the circumstances, if you can't see something wrong here you need to go to an eye doctor, (ha, ha) more

useless doctors/Dr. Bentley 12/2/2008

I agree with the woman who had a horror experience. This office is useless, rude, and clueless! As far as the doctor goes he would be better off shoveling sewer. Dr. Bentley told a patient of twenty years who complained of extreme headaches to take Xanax and go to sleep. After questioning this, we got a second opinion. The new doctor sent for an MRI and found out it was a brain tumor! Had we not questioned Dr. Bentley and went elsewhere this would have been fatal. Pros: nothing positive to say. more

Generally a good practice 2/29/2008

I have no intentions of getting caught up in someone else's drama but I also recognize there is always someone who has a medical horror story to tell. Sure, some of the staff I find more friendly and accommodating than others. I've had my nose rubbed the wrong way on a few instances but overall I have been happy wtih my treatment. My doctor is helpful, a good listener, and is willing to work with me. I like some of the doctors and not so happy with others in the practice. However, I find that the staff are always respectful about accommodating my preferences if I can't see my doctor. I also find that being responsible for my own treatment and health by being a strong advocate, educating myself, and clearly stating my needs and boundaries is key to faciliating a good relationship. Is the diagnosis perfect on the first try everytime? No, but I can't say they've been way off or negligent either. I find that the short comings of this practice are common in other practices. They are also reflective of the more general issues in contemporary American medicine than anything else. I've never had a problem getting an appointment or having concerns heard. They have been exceptionally good about confidentiality even before HIPPA. This is really saying something considering my entire family receives care in this practice. As an adult who has been coming here since childhood, I like that I can talk to my doctor and not have to worry that he will discuss my treatment with my family and vice versa. Overall, I really can't complain. I feel sorry for that other woman but I don't know the real story and there is always someone like and her situation in every crowd. Pros: Adequate parking, close to highway, lab and emergency facility in same building Cons: No weekend hours and only one late night/clinic each week. more

Wonderful Experience 2/22/2008

I'm not sure what the last person was thinking, but this practice is wonderful. they go out of their way to make patients happy. As far as confidentiality goes, if her son was 18 yrs or older, there is a law, HIPAA, that protects her sons privacy. Unless her son signed a form stating his medical records could be discussed with her, he's the only one they could have told regarding his results, not his mother. If he was an adult, she was asking for something that was impossible and unethical. I'm not sure what MRS is, but perhaps she meant MRSA, which I've never seen confused with anything treated with steroids. As a healthcare professional, it seems she is simply upset because she did not get what she wanted. As for a nurse practitioner, there is not one at this office. In the past, there was a physician's assistance, but she is no longer there. This office is thorough, professional, and very caring. They will do they best to care for everyone, with very good diagnosticians, etc. They are a great family medical practice, and I highly recommend them. I have been a patient for 20 yrs and have never been unhappy with their service. more

CONFIDENTiality Poor diagnosis and treatment 11/18/2007

The way this group procatices medicine is actually criminal.....for over a year my son has tried to get them to test him and give him a direct diagnosis......after months of useless steroid and other medications the nurse kpracticioner quietly mentioned that he had MRS after he kept pushing them for a diagnosis. His ysptoms were classic for it. More agreggiously, I called for some help and ideas from the doctors in regard to other matters regarding my son....I REPEATED OVER AND OVER IT WAS TO BE KEPT CONOFIDENTIAL....well they wrote it up in his records and then sent the records to my son who was not aware of my contacting his doctors. This is so unprofessional and has caused so much pain and suffering for my son, me, my husband, granddaughter and my daughter-in-law. It is a disgusting act. The damage is unreparable....you have ruined our lives......... more
