Great food and amazing service! The delivery driver called me when they forgot a side salad, and he went back to get it and brought extra desserts to help make up for the delay. I have NEVER had a delivery driver call ME to admit their mistake. Amazing. And again, great food, very fresh and homemade! Will definitely buy again. more

Quiet, great food, local - a special place 8/28/2009

A truly local place off the Abbott Kinney beaten track. Everything on the menu has been great in the 5 or so times I have gone there. Really good value as you being your own beer/wine, no corkage. Loved the pork sandwich, salmon was excellent, taco special a total deal. Candles & quiet, often there is just you and maybe another small group. Pros: off the radar, bring your own, food is yummy Cons: Can be chilly outside more

Mellow Space and Delicious Dinner in Venice 8/28/2009

I love this hideaway spot for dinner. The candlelit patio has a great feeling and everyone is attentive, warm and friendly. The food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced especially for this neighborhood. A real gem. more

I Love This Place 8/9/2009

I have eaten here several times for lunch and dinner and love everything about this place. It’s a warm and friendly family owned restaurant which is so refreshing to see now a days. The cozy patio atmosphere is relaxing. They go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of and have a wonderful experience. The quality of food, the taste, the presented and the portions are exceptional. Plus it’s priced very reasonably. A shinning star among the restaurants of Venice, believe me I have eaten at all of them. Pros: Best Food in Town more

Great Lunch and Dinner 7/31/2009

I have been to Marla's four days out of the last five and once was for dinner. I have not tried something i did not like yet. This place is just amazing. Delivery can take a bit of time, but when you get it you realize why. It's high quality, sit down resturaunt good. Have just been shocked that it could taste like that when it was put in a to-go container and driven a couple of miles. Have ordered 6 times now and have yet to be disappointed. Oh, and you have to try the mashed potatoes. Amazing more

  • Marla's Cafe is located in the heart of Venice, CA on Abbot Kinney. The food here has a fusion of American, Latin, Asian and Portuguese cuisines.
    After 20 years as a professional caterer and party planner, the owner Marla Barreira brings her fusions of different cuisines together on the menu. Marla's Cafe is a cozy dining spot, with a heated patio in the back off Victoria St and an intimate dining area in the front. The full menu is offered for both lunch had dinner with daily specials which almost always includes one of Marla's special recipe home style soups. The menu includes small bites, sandwiches, wraps, salads, pizza and pastas and a variety of delicious entrees with choice of sides.
    All of the food at Marla's Cafe is made with love, so come check it out and you will get the best tasting food and great service!
