I went in for a piercing.
I approached the door to find an unkempt woman smoking a cigarette outside. She asked me if she could help me and I then let me know she was the piercer. We got inside and she sat me in her little room. Her bedside manner was nice and the conversation was pleasant. But then she pulled open the drawer to put in her gloves. The drawer was messy and unorganized with crap everywhere. She put on her gloves. She never even washed her hands before putting them on. Then the phone rings, so she takes off the gloves, gets the phone, skips hand washing again and gets a new pair of gloves on.
I was uncomfortable andnshkuldve spoken up but I didn’t.
She did a great job on my piercing (although I believe I needed a longer bar because my ear is so swollen that the piercing is extremely tight.
Anyway, i go to check out and noticed all the dirt caked under her fingernails.
I am healing right now and am very sore and all I keep thinking about was this lady’s unhygienic practices and how I should’ve walked away or spoken up.
I’m giving her two starsinstead of one bc I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt that the end result will be desireable.
