My wife and I have purchased her engagement ring, my wedding band, and plan on getting her wedding ring there as well. We are just out of college and can't afford much and Marks had a great selection in our price range. With her engagement ring, she had a hard time getting it the right size (to her own judgment and request), and Marks was more than willing, several times, to re-size it free of charge, each time with service under a couple of days. My wedding band is made of Tungsten and after the first weekend of wearing it I felt it was too loose. It cannot be re-sized, but I went in and they were more than willing to replace it with a brand new band in my size. We are excited to continue doing business with them and continue to give rave reviews. more

My boyfriend and I were walking around downtown just the other afternoon enjoying the warm weather, when we decided it would be a perfect day to look at potential engagement rings. He had always liked Marks Jewelers, that is where he bought my promise ring 2 years ago, so we checked it out. We were not greeted with a hello nor even a glance from the girl standing behind the glass cases. We browsed around for five minutes before I had to ask her to help me. I gave her our price range and an idea of what I was looking for and asked her to show us a few of their rings. She managed to show me two rings before a middle-aged lady walked in. She put the rings she was showing me away and proceeded to attend to this other lady. There were many other rings that I wanted to get a closer look at but after a few minutes of just standing there waiting for her to return we decided that Marks Jewelers just wasn't going to be what we wanted. more

Marks Jewelers is a high class but down to earth jewelry store located in downtown Lawrence. Marks is exceptional products and a good selection of jewelry from anything to class rings to diamond necklaces. The employees at Marks are very helpful and friendly. The best thing about Marks is that it is a place for everyone not matter how much money you have in your pockets. more

The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. They do quick work and call you as soon as the work is done and the item is ready. You can get a quick watch battery done in less than 5 minutes.
