I called this marine because I am new to the area, and they are the only Mercruiser service center. I called in advance and compared their rates with Marine Dealers in austin and Dallas. They were a little more expensive than the competition , but closer. I took my boat in , and when I go to pick it up the bill is double what I was quoted. I called the manager out on this and he said he quoted me the basic package , and I got the bonus package . I was very specific about what I wanted serviced on my quote , and the basic pacake did not enen include an Oil Change so either he has a hearing issue , or he flat out ignored me. Either way on the bill there was only 132$ in parts the rest of the bill was Labor to the tune of 90$ an hour with 3.75 hours of labor. So bottom line these guys either purposely rip you off or cant hear, but what is painfully evident by the labor charge is that it takes them 2 times longer to do the same job as any of the other Marine dealers I spoke to. So in summary incompetent repair staff taking twice as long to do the job, and managerial staff that cant hear correctly , and will clear out of the place the second you tell them you are on your way to discuss things in person !!!!!!!
