Read a bunch of positive reviews and the negative one (about all the hidden fees) and thought the negative one was probably just a bad experience. Boy was I wrong!!! This place charges hidden fees everywhere. They find non-existent problems and charge for it (draining anal glands was $18; dog was groomed a few days before and it was already done; groomers typically do it for free). My bill which was a checkup for $50 became $190 with nothing done! There are better vets in the area for much lower prices. If you are going to pay $190 anyway, you might as well go to an upscale one (which this is not). Oh with all the money spent, they also gave a bad diagnosis. All my dog needed was gold bond powder. I've been to many vets in my life growing up with dogs and this isn't a good one. more

Dr. Montella is a life saver! I am new to the pet owner world and I just took on the responsibility of raising a 2 month old english bulldog Her name is Chubba. I was not sure where to go for her medical treatment and everyone that I had spoken to that owned dogs all had brought their pets to Dr. Montella. I know that when bulldogs reach adulthood they begin to have some breathing and health problems unfortunately my puppy was going through some issues from now. Dr. Montella went the extra mile and took the extra time to discover what was wrong and what to do. Luckily everything turned out ok. Dr. Montella backed me up when I had to confront the breeder about the situation (I only had the puppy for a week and I had gone to and an emergency animal hospital visit). Dr. Montella is all about the health and happiness about your beloved animals. I had only known him for a week and he had my trust 110%. He truly is one of a kind and I'm proud to say he is my vet! I have been taking my 3 dogs (long haired chihuahua / pomp-a-poo / & short haired chihuahua) to marine park vet group and have been using doctor pete montella as their vet for over 7 years. I trust him with my dogs he goes above and beyond for them and always makes sure you completely understand what is going on with your dog when we first got my 2nd dog dr montella actually did save his life and we are so grateful that we have such an intelligent trustworthy doctor - after all its not so easy to understand my dogs when something is wrong they don't speak and luckily we have an interpreter! Won't take our dogs anywhere else! I highly recommend dr pete montella after 3 dogs and numerous visits (check ups or emergency) he always helped our dogs through and us! S. Salesi more

Dr. Montella has treated all of our ""babies"" for the past 11 years. I would not trust any other doctor with them. He is kind and compassionate, especially when we had to put one down. I highly recommend Dr. Montella and his staff to anyone with a pet. Pros: Everything more

The staff is excellent. They never refuse a pet and will go out of their way to ""squeeze"" you in. The Vet Techs are so caring, especially Laura, she babies my animals they way they are at home. Dr. Montella treats every pet like they are his own. When he had to put one of my cats down after a long illness, he cried as if it was his cat. more
