Visit 1: I called in to make my initial appointment for my cleaning and checkup. Some dental offices do cleanings and checkups in separate appointments; I was trying to save time by finding an office that did both in one appointment. I also made it a point to verify with the receptionist that the Dentist does the cleaning and not a dental hygienist; I had a painful experience with a dental hygienist.
Issue No. 1: They only booked me for a checkup.
Issue No. 2: They informed me that the dentist does not do the
cleaning, a hygienist does.
Issue No. 3: The Dentist BARELY spent anytime with me, he would
spend a few minutes with me and then disappear to
another patient for 15 to 20 minutes. I was there for
over three hours.
Issue No. 4: The Dentist was rude and would not answer my
questions or address any of my concerns.
Issue No. 5: The Dentist's assistant was the one that was doing
the majority of the work on me. (I ended up "needing"
a filling and getting fit for a crown that day.)
Visit 2: I had to come back for my cleaning (which I was supposedly scheduled for the first visit) and to have my crown delivered.
Issue No. 1: When I showed up for my appointment, my crown had
not yet arrived from the lab AND their hygienist was not
there yet. Maybe they shouldn't have scheduled an
appointment for me? Or maybe they should have
called me before I came in?
Issue No. 2: Once again, the dental assistant was doing all the
work. The dentist only stopped by occasionally to
checkup on his work.
Issue No. 3: I told the dentist that the crown did not feel right, he
told me I was wrong and would not fix the issue.
Issue No. 4: Once again, everybody was RUDE!
Issue No. 5: Nine months later, my crown is STILL bothering me.
After those two visits, I decided to never return again! But, to top off the already wonderful service I have already received (please note sarcasm), they decided to screw me out of approximately $650.
