On 10/23/08, the company, Marina Cleaners lost my $60 Gap trousers. The owner credited me $60 towards the cost of the pants; however, I never received a refund towards the cost of the cleaning for those exact pants. Within 60 days I used the credit of $60. On 1/7/09 I received a message on my cell phone from Marina Cleaners stating that my pants had been returned. I went to Marina Cleaners at 6:45pm on 1/8/09 to pick up my pants. The owner explained to me what happened and I was pleased to have my pants returned. When I went to leave the owner, in a harsh voice, said that I needed to pay her $60 because those were now her pants. I was under the impression that Marina Cleaners gave me a credit to compensate me for the pants but to also to compensate me for poor business and disorganization. I did not feel that it was in good business practices for me to pay her back the credit that she gave me. My pants had been lost for more than two months, worn by someone else, and returned. I also paid to have them dry cleaned. I spend about $40 per month there and have been spending that amount for over a year now. I told the owner that she has a choice to either lose me as a customer or let me have my pants and leave. She insisted that I pay her $60. I then went to walk out of the store and she grabbed my arm and kept yelling, ""you pay $60."" I told her to let go of me and to stop this behavior. She grabbed my pants, I was holding, and continued to yell. She eventually let go and I left.
Cons: Terrible service!
