Maria has been doing my alterations for at least 15 years. She is the kindest most gracious person I know. I was shocked to read the comments by pony1555, as this is not the Maria I know. Her alterations are wonderful just as she is. I have seen some very rude customers in her store who think that they can treat people as ""The Help"" instead of ""A Friend"". Anyhow go there. I drive from the Cape (1 1/2 hours) to have this woman do alterations on my dresses. She is VERY highly thoughts of in the Quincy area, and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my clothes. She is especially good at altering bridesmaid's dresses and other formal clothing that has to be done once, and done right! I am petite and have used many seamstresses over the years, but she is the best!! more

Frankly, I am not even sure this woman deserves one star! She measured my pants twice and they came back 3 inches too long (even in 3 inch heels). When I went into tell her about the problem she immediately got angry with me and started interupting me. Now, I know tailor's can be defensive about their work so I went in there trying to be as calm and collected as possible... since if she were to fix the problem, I would have no problem. But then she claimed she never measured me, she accused me of being a trouble maker. She finally agreed to fix the pants but before I could ask when they would be ready she kicked me out and wouldn't tell me when my pants were going to be ready! She said that she had a husband and two daughters and she has never been as angry at anyone as she was with me. (I find that really hard to believe). She even asked if I would talk to my mother the way I spoke to her, and I said yes becuase i was being very nice and my mother, a lawye, taught me to always speak my mind. She then thought that meant I was going to take her to court, I was just trying to give her a frame of reference. Anyway I am going back next week and I am taking a co-worker with me because she scared me so.... I hope I get my pants back and they aren't ruined... I'll let you know how it turns out! .... DONT GO HERE THIS WOMAN IS CRAZY! Cons: EVERYTHING... but, most of all, she's crazy and SLOW! more
