The BEST PLACE to buy a wedding gown 3/11/2011

I bought my dress last night and it was such a wonderful experience. I had been to Mariella's before, without my mother to browse at dresses. Dora, my consultant is one of the most amazing women ever. She understood what I wanted, listened to what I didn't like and ended up pulling a dress for me that makes me like like a Queen. Mariella herself came and took my measurements then ended up pulling the most amazing veil ever created. I am getting married in a Basilica and will have well over 300 people at my reception, so I really needed a dress with a big WOW factor. Dora was on point in pulling my dress. If you want to have the best bridal experience this is the place to go. more

Probably would not recommend 8/19/2005

I bought my bridesmaid's dresses from Mariella's in 2003. The upside is that they did have a large selection. There were a few downsides though. The prices were expensive. Also, the staff there were not very friendly or helpful. This may be because it was always busy. They really rushed us unto buying dresses so early and told us they might not arrive on time, when if fact they arrived months before the wedding. I would not recommend going there for any of your bridal needs. more

an "okay" experience 8/18/2005

I heard about this shop when I was planning my wedding and ended up getting my mother's dress and bridesmaid's dresses ordered and altered here. Although they have great selection, their prices are high (even higher than same dress bought in store in New York City) and their service is fair. Possibly due to their local popularity, their number was always busy when I called and I was not always greeted in the friendliest manner. Alterations were of mediocre quality. Not sure if I'd order from here again. more

Wedding Dress Shop 8/16/2005

I went wedding dress shopping at Mariella’s (which was actually my second experience there – I had purchased a prom dress from them back in high school) and the experience was mostly positive. However, I wasn’t that thrilled with their selection for “brides on a budget” – this is definitely a place to shop only if you have cash to spend. more
