The Best Pizza For the Past Four Decades 7/12/2007

Like some of the other reviewers, I grew up eating Maria's Pizza. It was something we looked forward to and one of the few takeout dinners my hard working parents could afford to feed a large family. 40 years later, my teenagers adore Maria's Pizza. It's still the best pizza I've ever eaten, including the pies I've tasted in Chicago and New York City. We prefer to call in our order, but the kitschy, funky, light-up-your-life, religious decor inside is classic. Pros: The best pizza I've ever eaten. Extremely reasonable cost. Kitschy atmosphere. Cons: Due to popularity, wait times can be long, especially on weekends. more

I Keep Coming Back! 11/26/2006

When my brother and sister and I were young, we would chant, ""George Webb hamburgers, P-I-Z-Z-A!"" whenever we were hungry and ""fast food"" was in order. Of course, in the early 1960's, our choices were limited when it came to fast food. Maria's Pizza was the ONLY pizza we ever had back then, and I keep coming back, almost 50 years later. My mouth waters just thinking about the taste of the sausage and the crunch of the crust. Pros: Taste and aroma Cons: Parking problems, long wait at times more
