I have been going to Margaret's for years. You can't get better, fresher more unique Tex Mex food anywhere in the surrounding area. They offer alot of vegan and vegetarian selecti...

"Authentic"?? "Fresh Ingredients"?? I can't believe the reviews. We moved here from Denver a year and a half ago, so we do know a little about SW/Mex food. Got off to a bad sta...

Good but they raised prices 6/1/2005

Today I was pleased to see that Margaret's had updated the menus, adding lunch specials and daily specials, but I was dismayed to see the price increases. My friend paid $10 for a burger and fries! It now costs a $1 extra to add salsa that used to automatically come on the burrito (it's not that much salsa by the way) and meat is an extra $2. The food is always good, but they're getting a little proud. Pros: lots of parking Cons: a la carte pricing more

Not interesting. 2/26/2005

The food is bland and tasteless. The worst enchilada ever. If youre an uninteresting person who likes uniteresting food, go for it. more

a pleasing mexican masticatorium 7/8/2004

Margaret's serves very nice food with fresh ingredients. Especially pleasing is the fact that they offer a variety of nice wines at very reasonable prices. It is often crowded during "prime time" dining hours on the weekends. However, if you are visiting the nearby theater and want an early dinner, Margaret's is an ideal choice. My wife and I have been here quite a number of times, and we have been very pleased with the food and the overall value. Pros: Food. Yum., Nice wines. Cons: , weekend eves busy more

Fresh Margarita's 5/24/2004

I have yet to find anyplace that has margarita's that compare to those at Margaret's Cantina! No mix here...there is pulp in the glass as proof! Always fresh, cold and delicious! Pros: lots of food, inexpensive, good parking more

my fav place in CH! 10/5/2003

I loooove the food here. The grilled chicken strips with garlic sauce or teryaki sauce is my most favorite! My other favorites are the salads in taco shells! They are sooo good. This is the ONLY place I ever want to eat at when I am in Chapel Hill! I recommend that everyone try this place. It is less crowded on weekdays (Mondays through Thursdays), more crowded on Fridays through Sundays. Pros: food, service, plenty of parking Cons: busy nights (Fri-Sun), crowding (Fri-Sun) more

Best Burger in Triangle 8/13/2003

Yep. Who would have thought. As a displaced Midwesterner (and everyone knows Midwesterners are made of *meat*), Margarets has the best burger I have found in the Triangle. Fries are out of sight, as well. And what's really puzzling and wonderful, is that everything else that my family and I have tried on the menu are deliciously prepared. As the other reviews say, so much more than Tex-Mex. !!Awesome!! Cheese grits!! My wife and I have a new favorite restaurant. Pros: well prepared food, great food!!, pleasantly casual Cons: sorry, no cons here! more

Great salon! 5/9/2003

I've used Genine's for over 3 years, and I've always been pleased with the service I've recieved there. Cheree is an absolute dream--very friendly, great colorist and stylist. Highly reccomended! more

Never again. . . 2/24/2003

I visited Genine's one time and will never go back. My stylist was late, rude and did not even ask me what I wanted. She simply started cutting and I was left to deal with the aftermath. It has been four months now and my hair is just getting back to manageable. more

Casual delight 10/30/2002

One of the most enjoyable restaurants in the area. The food is always fresh and seasoned just right. It is so much more than a Tex-Mex. The rotisserie chicken is great since Margaret's started as a chicken take out years ago. Ask for the chicken with the hot wing sauce instead of the four or five listed sauces. Served with their homemade fries and their special coleslaw, it is wonderful and unlike anything you will get anywhere in the Triangle. It is worth the drive if you don't live in Chapel Hill. Pros: great food, good parking Cons: crowds on weekends more

Unique and Quality Food.. 10/26/2002

This is one of my girlfriends favorite places to eat. We really like the new menu selections they post weekly. They also have a super bar and great service.. more

Gotta try it 9/27/2002

Margarets is a great little hideaway in Chapel Hill. Just off the interstate, service is quick and the food is priced well. One of my favorite restaurants in the Triangle!!! more

Just alright... 9/22/2002

M's C is just okay for some pseudo-Mexican eats. I got the Chalupa Salad, which is more black beans than salad, but did have a tastey crust. The nachos looked good, but are completely smothered in their not-so-good salsa, making them soggy by the end of the meal. The service is okay--it was really crowded the night we went, so maybe on a less crowded day, it would be better. They charge for refills on soda, which is just down right blasphemous! Cons: Expensive, Charge for refills!!, no free chips/salsa! more

great colorist! 8/28/2002

a small friendly salon with a great colorist (Cheree). they do nice work and they listen and care. not expensive either. more
