Mardel Christian & Educational

Mardel is a store that I wish was closer to my home! They have a great variety of Christian music at great prices. The kids section is wonderful too and they have a play area for the kids to watch TV or play with a train set while you shop. Plenty of educational items for home schooling at very good prices. The children love their 10c buckets where they can choose a variety of items from their allowance. They always have the latest book releases and often run great specials. more

Mardels is a large Christian bookstore that offers everything from Thomas the Train to Veggie Tales. There is a great section just for the kids where they can watch the latest and greatest Veggies Tales dvd or play with the cool train tables while mom and dad check out all the neat Christian items available for kids. Teachers will also find a nice selection of supplies for their classrooms and students. There is always a large selection of "prizes" to choose from for the kids from pencils, erasers, bouncing balls, etc. for about $.10 each. Great for all those goody bags for birthday parties too. Another thing to look for is the extensive Christian music selection. It's probably the largest that I have come across and have really enjoyed going through all the cd's available. The staff is helpful and there are always people on hand to answer your questions. more

Any educator knows about Mardel. I have been to the one in Mesquite and the one in Plano and found them almost the same. However the Plano location has higher prices and a less friendly staff. They do not carry the Step Up to TAKS line of standardized testing reference books. They are mandatory for any 5th grade teacher. more
