Marc himself came to our home to give us a ""free"" estimate. Apparently tired from our third fl walk up, upon entering our apartment he plopped down on a chair and left us to show ourselves the booklets, fabric samples, etc he had brought with him. The fabric was beautiful and as we started looking through it he took some measurements. He gave us a ball park figure which sounded higher than we had thought about paying but we were enticed by the obvious quality of his samples. We looked through them, thinking about what we might use (3 rooms needed curtains 2 windows and 2 sliders each) and he told us about what kind we would want, and how they would work, etc. At the end we asked him for an exact price and he quoted around $4000. We told him thank you very much, and that we needed to think about it. I have never seen someone selling a product in our home have such a reaction. He was very angry that we were not willing to give him an answer immediately. He stated that he knew how people like us were, that we could ""remain friends"" but that he realized that we would never call him, and left in a huff. Never have I been so insulted by someone in my own home. Granted, his quote was more than we wanted to pay. And we got beautiful curtains made for less money from his competitor A&M Windows (of whom we were extremely satisfied- beautiful curtains, great customer service!), but we probably would have paid more to have the fabrics that we had fallen in love with during his visit. After that kind of treatment though, our choice was easy.
Pros: beautiful fabrics, good selection
Cons: will never give my money to someone who is so rude
