Purchased my brand new Toyota Corolla in 2009. I allowed the sales/finance staff to talk me into the Platinum Vehicle Service warranty plan (~$1500 upgrade for a 7 year, bumper-to-bumper, free roadside assistance, etc). Luckily, I hadn't needed to use it for the first few years (although I have lost count on how many recalls I have taken part in, I will steer clear of Toyotas from this point on most likely). Today, my car wouldn't start, so I think ""Okay, I will call Toyota Roadside Assistance"" only to find out that apparently it is not covered and I will need to pay it all out of pocket. The kind operator told me that I could try to seek re-imbursement, but I didn't want to take that risk, because Maplewood Toyota Sales staff lied to my face so I cannot allow myself to trust them. Will not do business with them again and will certainly not recommend them to friends and family. more

We bought a Toyota Corolla from them during the ""Cash for Clunkers"" program. They were helpful on the information and process of turning your old car in for a new one with that program, more so than other car dealerships we talked to. But the part where they ""take you in the back"" to talk about the insurance coverage of the vehicle with a different salesperson, I did not care for. I feel like he pushed my Mom into buying more coverage than she needed and they were not very honest about the value of our old vehicle. I think they raised their prices during the cash for clunkers program by about $2000 so it wasn't that great of a deal. more
