This is a reply to Gary H's review. There is always a 2nd side to a story especially when the person is dishonest. I know the facts personally. Dr Manzer was assigned to Gary's care in the hospital through unassigned call. Meaning he did not have a primary care physician. The doctors in town rotate these admissions. He was cared for while in the hospital & appropriate referals were made as he had significant health issues. Dr Manzer is REQUIRED by that hospital to follow up with such unassigned patients to provide a greater level of care & ensure his condition(s) are improving & being managed regardless if a specialist is involved. Primary care physicians are vital in whole health medical care as they communicate with the specialists. The specialists rely on them to manage the patient as well as they focus on one area of medicine such as a cardiologist & primary care givers have to manage all modalities. Had an appointment with DR.MANZER on11/17/2010 @1:45. I was not sure why Dr.Manzer had wanted to see me as I still was seeing two other Doctor one a Christopher Andrew, M.D. Neurology and Roger H. Schoenfeld, D.O. As of yet these two Doctor had not come to any answer to my problem that I was having. Opon coming to Mr. Manzer office I asked the receptionist did she know why the Doctor wanted to see me, As I was still seeing two other specialist about my problem. The answer was a no she did not. I asked this recepyionist to ask Dr. Manzer why I was there, I was told that she could not do that. My problem was this, The recepyionist told me that my office vist was going to cost me $120.00. And my thinking was what information could Dr.Manzer have for me as I was still seeing two other Doctor at this time.Another member of the staff said that this vist was to see how I was doing and if I wanted Dr.Manzer as my primary care Doctor. I am thouroughly impresssed with Dr Manzer and his practice. I have recently started going there and have nothing bad to say! His support staff is wonderful - very friendly and sharp! I can always get an appointment when I need one. He listens to my problems and asks pertenant questions. His office is very technologically advanced - he brings a laptop into the appointment. He takes notes on it as you are telling him things. When you leave the room, information prints out for you in the hallway - prescriptions, informational papers.... Then the receptionist can pull all that information he put in and know that you need a follow up appt, etc.... His office is very efficient! more
