It would also be neat just to go and tour this place. The rooms are nice and luxurious and the staff here is very friendly and ready to help you relax! more

Beautiful place to stay! 9/5/2005

This is a Bed and Breakfast located in an 1892 three-story mansion. This place is beautiful, with hardwood floors and stained glass. The rooms have private bathrooms (sometimes not the case at a Bed and Breakfast), and of course breakfast is included in the price. They do welcome children as well, so don't shy away if you have kids, although I recommend leaving them at home! The prices are very reasonable and the location is close to some major Springfield attractions. Parking is not an issue either. You won't be disappointed staying here. more

Originally constructed as the family home in 1892 by the area attourney for the "Frisco railroad, this historic building was converted to a B & B in 1990.  It was completely updated with modern utilities, etc. while retaining the elaborate Victorian-style decor.  Embossed tin ceilings, a formal parlor, fireplaces, huge mirrors, chandeliers, a grand staircase that goes to the third floor, and great interior halls all add their touch of charm to this B & B Inn.  There are 13 individually decorated suites available in The Mansion, one of which is handicapp accessable.  The ground floor also includes two large meeting rooms and the formal dining room.
