Mansfield Animal Hospital

I've been taking my cats here for 10 years, and even got 1 of them from their adoption program with Maxs Hope. I have 2 that get very nervous when they go in to any vet, and so they get pretty mean. but the staff here is always great at handling them! Dr Johnson and Dr Tabor are both fantastic. It is not expensive, but they have all kinds of impressive equipment. They always weigh the options with me, and we decide together what's best for our family. This is my first message but I must say I have had nothing but positive experiences with this vet clinic. They get me in quick for appointments. Work around my schedule and unlike others on this site the vet had a wonderful manner with the dogs. My full grown lab had no problems, he talks to the animals and he cuddled my puppy when we got a new dog. They have a dog and cat in the office wandering around, which I love because it shows that they're pet owners and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable and interested in your pets. I love them, the best part is that they're reasonably priced. I took in my puppy for vaccinations, came home and my lab (who has food allergies) got into the garbage and had broken out in a huge rash and they took me right back in and didn't charge me for another office visit even though it was two office visits. IF your dog barks you should not take them here. We have a rather large dog and when we went for his checkup the ladies up front were petting him and loving on him. Our dog loves being petted but he has a slight issue with males since he we saved him from a previous male owner. The staff was fully aware of this and we expected him to be musselled. When we were asked to come back to the room the doctor never even said anything to us. He picked up the needle and started walking toward our dog. When the dog barked he turned around put the needle down and told us to leave. He said they dont take vicious animals. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. He barked....most dogs bark! He gave us no explanation and just walked out. We were shocked at the service and the way the doctor handled the situation!! Pros: Nice office ladies Cons: Doctor is rude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more
