I have met Manny several times where I work, and have always told him I would love to visit the House of Pizza in Nashville. He told me I would not be disappointed, and believe me, this man speaks the truth! I took my family there recently, and the food was incredible! We had pizza and stromboli.They were the best I have ever eaten, period! Also had a cannoli for desert, which was very good! I live in Columbia, Tn., which is about 45 miles away, and I would not hesitate to make the drive up to Nashville again to Manny's House of Pizza! Take it from me, you will not be disappointed either! more

Without a Doubt The Best Pizza I've eaten anywhere 9/13/2010

I am dumbfounded at how I have lived in Nashville for the majority of my life and never knew about Manny's until the day of the flood. I was in my house watching the rain come down and thinking about Pizza. Went on to CitySearch, read some reviews, and went and got a pie. It was so awesome, but my wife was away for the weekend so I went back a couple of weeks later so she could try and this time got her favorite instead of mine. Hers has Spinach, Ham, Mushroom, Onion. I will say hers beat mine. Even if you don't typically like spinach on pizza, GET IT. It was incredible. By far better than anything I've had in New York or Chicago. more

Amazing Pizza 2/26/2010

If you're trying to avoid fake pizza from the chains, there's a small place you need to visit in the heart of Nashville. Manny's House of Pizza is an old pizzeria in the Arcade where customers are transported to NY for pizza that has been said to be better than the popular pizzerias of the Big Apple. Try the house special, any of the rolls (especially the spinach, chicken parm, and stromboli) and the lasagna!! Pros: Real NY-style pizza in Nashville more

The man answering the phone 5/16/2009

I called to place an order for delivery. The man who took the order obviously upset because I had a whopping four orders. Two paid for w/ cash and two w/ debit card.\r I state this in during the beginning of the conversation.\r He tells me ""Well can you just give them all to me at once and we'll break it down later"". Break it down for the A**hole and he's upset because he has a simple job to do. After he incorrectly gave me prices and gave a list of incorrect items at the damn shi**y establishment he's employed.\r I guess a career asking paper or plastic would have been asking to much of this very rude male who clearly doesnt have the highest of education.\r I will never order from them establishment with trailer trash hillbillys answering the phone.\r Pros: good food Cons: The worst customer friendly more

Simply the best in Nashville. 3/3/2009

Manny is a new yorker who learned the secret of making perfect pizza when he lived in Brooklyn. Thank god he decided to move to Nashville and open up shop in the arcade. The food at manny's house of pizza can only be decribed as heavenly! Perry crush with just the right amount of delicous sauce and cheese. My myth is watering just thinking about it. I also love the calzones, sausage bread and the lasagna is to die for. Folks this is authentic new York stryle pizza right here in the heart of Nashville. Get thereearly during the week for lunch because the lines can get long but they do move quickly. more

Best I've Ever Had. 3/2/2009

I'm the daughter of an Italian Chef from New York, so I have grown up appreciating good Italian food. My dad found this place years ago when he used to work downtown and once I grew out of my very picky eater stage, he brought me down. Its difficult having an allergy to tomatoes, but I fell in love with my first bite of my white pizza. I ate three whole slices, a lot of NY style pizza for someone to eat, especially with a ton of ricotta on it in June. I would try something different every time I'd go until I found my beloved Cheese Roll. I love the way it smells when you walk in, and how if you go there more than three times Manny remembers you by face. It has the best feel of any place I've ever been to, including Joey's House of Pizza in Brentwood. The best food ever, and that comes from a former winner of the World's Pickiest Eater Pageant. Pros: Delicious food, the smell that lingers and reminds you of a great meal afterward. Cons: Location is impossible, I can't drive myself there due to lack of parking and traffic. more

Manny is the MAN! 11/11/2008

Simply put - BEST PIZZA WE HAVE EVER HAD!!! We just moved to Nashville and this was our first experience of a local pizza place. We have found ""our pizza place""!! The Pizza was so good! We ordered five pies for a party and everyone commented on how good they were, but nobody had heard of House of Pizza. This made us feel like locals. Manny was extreamly nice on the phone and even made two extra pizzas at the drop of a hat for us as our party numbers grew. If you haven't been here yet you have to go try his pizza. The place needs a little decorating, but it has a NY pizzaria feel to it. This is where we are ordering pizza every time! Pros: Great Pizza Cons: Location a little hard to get to more

Awesome Pizza 9/14/2008

Really good pizza. The thin crust is perfect, with just the right amount of crispiness. The tomato sauce must be homemade and is perfect...I wish I lived closer. Every time I visit my Mom, I come here for pizza. I just wish the location was a little more accessible, but very much worth the trip. This pizza reminds me of the perfect pizza I used to eat in New Jersey as a kid. Pros: Perfect pizza Cons: Location is a little inconvenient, but well worth the trip more

THE BEST! 10/11/2006

Being a born and bred NYer, I was at a loss trying to find good ol' NY style pizza. My gf used to eat there at lunchtime when she worked downtown and recommended we go there after I described the pizzas I was so homesick over. Manny's is THE BEST PIZZA AROUND! If only I lived closer, I would get it more often. Thank you House of Pizza for bringing a little bit of hometown Brooklyn to the south!!!!!!!!!! Pros: The BEST pizza you can find outside of NY! These people are the real deal! The food is WONDERFUL!! I have been smuggling pizza and chicken rolls home on the plane from NY for three years and I am here to tell you, I will smuggle no more! Best In Nashville - And NOT Abusive 9/1/2004

As a native NYer, I gotta vent on this. Manny and Joey are not abusive, they're just New Yorkers. If you're dawdling undecided and there's a line of hungry people behind you, they're going to use direct communication to encourage you to get on with it. Saying something subtle like ""wow, we're really busy today,"" and expecting you to get the hint just isn't in our blood. Okay? But the pizza: hands down the best in Nashville. Great crust, great sauce and when it's fresh out of the oven, no one has better (reheated, it isn't anything to sneeze over, either). The lasagna is also fantastic as are the pepperoni rolls. I have been eating at house of pizza since i was 4! My mom worked at the arcade, and i would go and i would eat there, all the time! Joey and Manny are some of the best people i know. Simply the best damn pizza in Tennessee! If you plan to order a full large house special you better BRING A FORKLIFT! This is one huge pizza with everything you could want and more. I literally had to have help carrying the thing back to work for the others to share! The calazones are awesome, Lasagne is tasty with big big helpings, you gotta give H.o.P. a try when you are in the downtown area! Wonderful stuff, wonderful staff! Authentic NY Pizza 7/29/2002

The pizza at House of Pizza is delicious, authentic NY style pizza. The crust has body, the sauce has a good flavor and consistency, the cheese is REAL mozzarella, not the kind you find at Kroger's. My favorite is the Sicilian pie (thick slice). When you bite into a slice, you know you're eating a great pizza. The service is very fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable. That means that you get good food for a reasonable price served quickly. What more could you want? Pros: Good food, Inexpensive, Fast Service more
