Highly recommended! 10/31/2010

My first massage with Frank was fantastic. I'd been having neck and back pain, and he sat down and really listened to concerns, and then focused on these areas. As the last reviewer said, he was friendly, intuitive, professional and really listened. The massage was amazing - just the right amount of pressure and focusing on the right areas. Much better than the salon massages I have had in the past. Working in a very holistic way, he also gave tips on nutrition and exercise to boost my health and wellbeing. I'd definitely recommend Frank as a massage therapist! more

He is the best! 9/24/2009

It is hard to describe how wonderful Frank is as a person and a massage therapist. He deeply cares about his clients and their needs. After my car accident I thought my pain would be a permanent problem, that is, until I met Frank. Friendly, professional, clean, attentive, and an excellent listener. Pros: Excellent service more

The Best 8/15/2009

Frank is an awesome massage therapist. I'm a runner and have a lot of related issues. Frank really knew what to do. If you've been over training, he's the guy to go to. Pros: Excellent Skills, Awesome Location Cons: None more

Best prenatal massage 8/4/2009

I was so lucky to find Frank during my last trimester of pregnancy. My back was killing me and lying in a side position for a massage was not very comfortable for me. Not only was Frank very conveniently located, he was very open regarding his schedule and was so warm and friendly I felt immediately comfortable. Of course, the most important thing is the quality of the massage, and the value of the cost, and I would say Frank gets 5-stars for both. His pressure was just right (though he can go from light to strong based on your preference) and lying on my stomach for even 1/2 hour (but without any pressure to the baby or my back) was a real plus. Too bad I have moved out of town so I can no longer get to him regularly! Pros: Supportive cutout for big bellies; flexible hours Cons: In-home office not right ambiance for some more

The go-to massage therapist in NYC. Do not think twice. 7/31/2009

Like too many others, I've had some bad massages in my day. Luxury gyms, "expert" spas, more clinical sports therapy places, home practitioners all failed me in a big way. Occasionally there would be someone who approached "meh" status -- and that was a good thing! Then I met Frank through a friend and that was it: his home office is the complete, attentive (and obvously highly skilled) therapeutic environment that I'd been looking for. Been 3+ years and I wouldn't go to anyone else. Even on vacation, when I wouldn't have to feel guilty, I'll abstain from throwing good money after a bad hotel massage. I'll just wait until I get back to NYC where there's someone I trust completely. Pros: Knows how it's done! + great atmosphere more

extraordinary experience 7/31/2009

Frank has a unique ability to balance a truly informed and professional theraputic massage with a genuine deep sense of feeling. This is not frou-frou..this is the real thing. Frank gives himself to healing...we, who are his clients take that benefit long after we've left his cocoon of serenity. Pros: Frank creates an atmosphere of peace and well being, more

A calm oasis 7/30/2009

The minute you walk in his door, you realize how wound up life in the city can make you because Frank emanates such serenity and calm, you wish it came in a pill. But it doesn't; it comes from the array of Meridian therapies he provides, and in my much needed case, he took time to explain. His place is clean and cool, the lighting is relaxed and by the time you leave, you feel like you've decompressed or just got done floating. He's dedicated, thoughtful and completely professional. more

Best Massage and Ambiance you will find in NYC 7/30/2009

Frank is a master at his craft. He can pinpoint every ache and pain and massage your cares away. He is extremely professional, polite and friendly. He uses his home-office which is very clean, safe, and located near union square so it is convenient to get to. There are plenty of herbal teas to choose from as well as delightful and relaxing music. I've gone back time after time because he is professional and skilled. I would (and do) recommend him to everyone. He is dedicated to educating his clients with therapeutic stretching, holistic nutrition among other things. His integrity and expertise speak louder than words. Pros: expertise is unparallel more

Massage your worries away! 7/30/2009

Frank made me feel at home from the moment I met him. He is extremely knowledgeable about many medical conditions and was the first massage therapist I have encountered who was able to relieve muscle soreness, fatigue, and pain from fibromyalgia. He has sent me home with helpful information regarding my condition and even emails me additional sources of help. I have looked far and wide for someone who was reputable and credentialed and now I can highly recommend him to others with the same concerns--worry no more, Frank is here! Pros: Incredibly knowledgeable massage therapist Cons: none! more

Excellent prenatal/pregnancy massage - highly recommend and will return again and again! 10/21/2007

I'm always hunting for the best massage deals but once I became pregnant (now 18 weeks), my usual haunts were not accessible to me. I found Frank on Citysearch and between his rates and his ability to fully accommodate a pregnant client comfortably (great cutouts for a growing belly and bust), I am very pleased to say that I was very happy with my massage. Frank is attentive, sensitive, and highly intuitive - I really enjoyed his caring energy, and loved talking to him. Not once did I have to ask him to increase or decrease the pressure, which is a first for me. I highly recommend Frank and will be a frequent visitor to his massage table! Pros: Reasonable rates, excellent massage, great massage table and incredible energy Cons: Frank doesn't live next door to me! more

Wonderful Massage 10/20/2007

I discovered Frank a couple of weeks ago. I was suffering from a sporting injury and was in significant pain. Frank arranged to see me that same day and I felt immediate relief after a fantastic massage. He is a wonderful therapist and I have seen significant improvements in my symptoms since coming to see him. I am delighted that I have found Frank and highly recommend him. Pros: Flexible hours including weekends Cons: None! more

A Great Massage Therapist in NYC 10/17/2007

I have been getting my massages by Frank at his "home office" for the past year and a half. It has been a life transformation for me, because I have no more muscle pain, stiffness or migraine headaches. I feel so much more energetic. Frank has the strongest healing hands that move fluidly and tackle any stiffness or pain I may be feeling that day. Frank is caring, gentle and has a lot of integrity. He is big on making sure I am getting the most attention he can give me on that day. I always feel very safe with him, especially with his spirituality, on going education into the related fields (acupuncture), and his diverse knowledge in the many other health areas. Frank has always been very accommodating to my crazy schedule. I feel very lucky to have stumbled on the best massage therapist I can ever find. Pros: I highly recommend him Cons: None more

Best Message in NYC -- Absolutely the best!! 10/10/2007

I have been going to message therapist's for over 12 years now....Frank is by far the best therapist I have ever worked with....I used to hire Frank when he was working at a gym here in NYC and then I followed him to his private practice out of his home. He is extremelly professional and really cares about his clients and his work. He spiritually helps set you at ease and works the tensions out of your entire body. He is an A+ act that is very respectful, professional and good at what he does. I recommend Frank and his private practice to my family and friends. Try him out and you will be amazed with how good he is. I am the hardest critic around and he is definitely the best. Pros: Very talented, respectful and professional Cons: None more

Amazingly skilled, highly conscientious, your body will thank you 10/7/2007

I've been to maybe 6 or 7 massage therapists in my day, and Frank is without a doubt the most skilled, muscle-aware one I've encountered. I suffer from chronic neck pain and arthritis, and he can resolve the worst pain I've ever had with massage that is the right balance of gentleness and exertion. Very precise and fluid movements, very knowledgeable. Warm caring personality and a home office setting that is welcoming and peaceful. Reasonable rates and always accomodating to my unpredictable schedule. I cannot recommend his work highly enough. Go and ask for the peach tea! Pros: wonderful massage, wonderful experience Cons: none more

Healing hands 10/6/2007

Frank has the special gift of healing. You feel yourself truly relaxing because he instictively works on the areas on the body that need attention that particular day. He is also very knowledgeable about kinesiology, enjoy. more

Expert massage with respect for each individual 5/3/2007

Frank Mariglia is a talented and soulful massage therapist. He has healing hands that transform tired or sore muscles into soothed body parts. Although I can go on and on about the benefits of seeing Frank, suffice it to say that he works with professional and personal integrity that has benefited me every time I receive a massage. Pros: He listens to your needs. He is intuitive, and has intelligent hands Cons: I don't go enough more

The Best 5/2/2007

I've been going to Frank for almost 12 years and my whole body has been transformed from stiff tightness to relatively easy flexibility. "He has the best hands in the Village" is the quote a pain management doctor told me when he found out I was going to Frank. He was right. I've had a lot of massages in my life and Frank is the best. In addition he is personable, caring and highly professional. His ongoing education in massage therapy and other related techniques has led him to acupuncture and the ensuing knowledge has made him even better in all other areas if that is possible. If you are serious about massage therapy, this is the man to see. more

Best, Most Consistent Massage in NYC 4/30/2007

I have tried various therapists in the city and have found Frank to be the most consistent and reliable. I have a permanent back injury that he has successfully been treating for three now years. I always feel taken care of and I never feel rushed. The experience is always peaceful. His place is clean and neat. He always asks what type of music you would like to hear. His hands are strong and his knowledge of anatomy insures that he accurately hits the trouble spots and takes it back to the roots. I prefer my massages deep and he always pushes my limits. I always feel transformed after leaving his place. I highly recommend Frank and his exceptional skill and attention to detail. Pros: Close to mass transit Cons: Parking can be tricky if your driving more

Best overall care I've gotten by far in NYC! 4/24/2007

I began seeing Frank for a work related injury a few months ago and since then, I couldn't have been happier. Not only is he highly familiar with the process and paperwork that comes along with Worker's Comp, he also is extremely knowledgeable in diagnosing your trouble areas and working to correct them as soon as possible. I have received Massage, Acupressure, Cupping and Qua Sha treatments from Frank and all have been extremely helpful in my road to recovery. I feel comfortable, relaxed and confident every time I step into his office and am excited to see the level of comfort he helps me acheive upon completing my session! His hours are flexible, his personality is warm and his work is un-matchable. Living in NYC it's hard to find a good therapist offering numerous types of alternative therapy, not to mention reasonable prices--and as soon as I was referred to Frank, I found all the above in him! Did I mention he's also amazing when it comes to referring other therapists and doctors? He was able to refer me to a wonderful network of Doctors and Acupuncturists to help work through other issues we came across during my sessions. He's trustworthy, realistic, gifted, and above all, eager to help you get back on your feet & back to work as soon as possible. I couldn't boast about him more :-) Pros: Ambience, Great personality, flexible hours, outstanding care Cons: None whatsoever! more

Excellent, professional massage. 4/19/2007

Franks is very professional, courteous, and definitely knows what he is doing for every need. I have been to many massage therapists and Frank is among the best. He provides a very comfortable atmosphere and a wide array of techniques for any and every need. He will also follow up on individual needs and educate himself further if need be to take care of those needs. His prices are also more than reasonable for the level of professionalism he offers. After searching for 3 years for a good massage therapist in NYC I am happy to have found Frank and go to him exclusively now. Pros: Easy to get to via public transportation even though I walk. more
