Adam was my tutor through Manhattan Elite Prep and he was amazing. Here I was, 10+ years out of college and never really great with math to begin with, trying to learn this monstrous amount of information in a very short amount of time. Adam was patient, helpful, and explained things as many times as I needed for them to sink in. I was so anxious about the GRE, and Adam helped me calm many of those anxieties. I did very well on my essays and my qualitative portions. I did well enough on the quantitative, considering how long it'd been since I'd done more than calculated a tip on a dinner bill. Thanks to Adam's help, I did well enough on my GRE to be accepted to my graduate school of choice! I couldn't recommend him enough! more

Superb GMAT Prep Program 3/22/2015

I took my GMAT course in January and February and had George as instructor. This course was very helpful for me and teacher's explanation were thorough and helpful. He also did not rush out after the class, but continued to answer questions from the students until everyone was happy. Both the course location and the provided materials were good as well. Overall I had a very good experience with Manhattan Review, and most importantly, I was able to score over 700 points on the test, which was my goal in the first place. more

Manhattan Elite Prep has been nothing less than amazing! I am so glad I decided to prepare for the GMAT with them. I paid for an online course in 2012 but could not take it because I was too busy working a million hours in NYC. Almost 2 years later, I am living in an entirely different country with terrible wifi connection, and MEP has done everything they can to help me take the course smoothly. They are very prompt with answering emails and have gone above and beyond to help me prepare for this test. Not to mention, the online course is great! The classes are small and I have received plenty of individual attention from the professor. I have learned so much about what to pay close attention to in each question and answer type, plus they have provided me with an unbelievable amount of practice material and guidance for the exam. I couldn't feel better prepared. Thank you so much for everything Manhattan Elite Prep! more

I am writing to express my satisfaction with your program. I was enrolled in a GMAT tutoring program with your instructor Dan. His coaching and instruction helped me to raise my score from a 590 to a 710! I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks again, Manhattan Elite Prep! more

Thieves:\r This people wants to steal your money, this is all they are after.\r First they claim that they have classes for TOEFL in San Jose, CA. Then, they take your money. Then, they say that there are not enough students to hold the class. Then, they claim that they have expert private tutors who can come to your house in lieu of the class. Then, in the first session, you discovered that the tutor they sent never had any experience with iBt TOEFL, and is not giving any improving feedback. And, the tutor doesn't have time to come to your place in a schedule that suits you. After that, they waste your time looking for other tutors who are expert, then they tell you that this is the only tutor they can find and they won't return your money back. I'm disputing the charge on the credit card now based on the deceiving service these people offer. more

Godawful 3/18/2012

This place is godawful. I took a class with these idiots last semester, when they were still called ""Manhattan Review."" The teachers are barely competent. Their books are terrible -- they don't even bother to edit them. If you are worried about your test scores, go to a real program that will help. Don't waste your money on these guys -- even at a discount, it is still a ripoff. more

It's because of the Unlimited classes and helpful tutors 3/16/2011

If you are considering grad school and you are going to take the GRE you should def. go to Manhattan Review. I mean they give you unlimited class time and the teachers are great. Just as an example I recently completed Manhattan Review's GRE course and I took the test and earned a score of 1200 (600 verbal, 600 quantitative). I also think that I did very well on the essay portion of the test as well but haven't received the scores yet. The instructors at Manhattan Review were great and I highly recommend them for any higher education learning. By the way I got a 1050 the first time I took the GRE. more

Thank you Manhattan Review for helping me get to the top!!! 2/25/2011

I primarily wanted a verbal private instructor. I got George. He delivered very good instructions and he was extremely smart, articulate, and cerebral. He understood the questions and was able to explain concepts, such as how to approach critical reasoning and reading comprehension, both clearly and accurately. I would not have scored in the top 8% of GMAT students on the verbal section if it wasn’t for George’s help. more

Just Awful 5/26/2010

I have never had such terrible service in my life. When I came in for the class they didnt even give me my books and later blamed me for not asking for something I didnt know I was supposed to recieve. The teacher taught the most basic math skills with no consideration for the time constraints. Also I was only given about 30 problems of homework to do for the whole week leaving me really confused how anyone could possibly be prepared for the test if they went to these courses. Really dont even consider these guys they are are awful and you guaranteed to regret paying $1000 + that is non refundable. Cons: Terrible Customer Service, No concept of the real gmat more

Great GMAT Tutors! 2/15/2010

I'm really happy that I used Manhattan Review for GMAT tutoring. My tutor was AMAZING. He was super smart and really knew how to teach. Gave me a completely different perspective on GMAT questions! Pros: Lots of experience more

Personal Attention & Great Instructors / Consultants 1/10/2010

I used both of their TOEFL and GMAT private tutors. I originally came from Russia. All the people I have met at Manhattan Review were super nice! They really helped me gain my confidence in acing those two tests one by one. I did score well in the end too. Since then I have recommended them to two of my friends! Sometimes they get really busy and may have a hard time scheduling you. But as long as you work things out with them, it is worth the wait and the money. Go to their info sessions..the guy running it is really great! Knowledgeable and no air of arrogance. Pros: Execellent Private Tutors Cons: Payment System more

terrible service!!!! 11/13/2009

I wouldn't put even one star! I signed up for one type of classes , they offered me another for the same price because they couldn't provide what they write . I agreed , because i had GMAT coming up soon. online classes , well most of them didn't happen because the tutor didn't have internet , or was struggling to get into NY cafe to get some internet for classes. :O imagine noise we heard instead of her voice.!!! Things like that happened not just once. Guess what. Tutor is scam , he tried to contact me via voice messages , so later on they wouldn't refund me what i payed them . Now I try to get my money back , so far no luck . Not professional ! Please pass the msg to everyone !!! You will loose your money , and no use! more

Manhattan Review is Terrible 6/10/2009

Beware of scam that passes for Manhattan Review. This company cancels classes right left and center, and provides terrible lesson booklets and uses horrible instructors who have no idea what gmat is about. The chinese guy I had could not communicate in English and was pathetic. Do not be cheated. Stay away from manhattan review gmat prep. Pros: nothing Cons: lousy books, terrible instructors, worst service more

Great place to prepare 1/25/2008

If you need to take the GMAT and need a good place to help you prepare for the test, then I would call them because they have great teachers who really work with you one on one and help you get over the fear of test taking. more

THE place to prepare for the GMAT 2/27/2007

I really don't know why anyone would go anywhere else. This test prep place has it all. Smaller classes, fun and enthusiastic and totally knowledgeable instructors, and a boutique-style setting that caters to the student. It's definitely not a place that just tries to get as many students as possible. As a student you feel like they attend to you as much as you need them to. You can study individually in their study room without anyone bothering you, you can make up classes you miss, they basically just want you to do well. I give them an A+ and because of their help I got a great score on the GMAT. 710 baby!!! more

Helped me get into Chicago GSB! 2/27/2007

This is an awesome company. I took a 6-week course that really helped me get the score I needed to go to my dream school, which if you couldn't tell, was Chicago. The environment's really nice, and easy to get to because it's right by Grand Central, and the atmosphere was really good. I had a class of about 8 or 9 people which was great because then we all got the individual attention that we needed. The instructors were amazing, and there was one for math and one for verbal so that each person was definitely an expert in the area they were teaching. I really like the math instructor who was very personable and engaging. The one person from the class I kept in touch with got a 760, which I think is amazing, though I didn't do too shabby myself (740). The cost is pretty normal for all GMAT courses in NYC but I definitely think it was worth it esepecially since I think my GMAT was an integral part of why I got in Chicago. Pros: Great instructors, really know their stuff. Cons: Building security is tight, so get there a little early each time. more
