Great Massage...even when the power went out! 3/3/2008

I was there for the blackout of '08! But, it didn't prevent the Mandarin Spa from offering polite service and a great massage! The hotel itself offers beautiful views of downtown. The Spa staff is first rate. I could knock off a star for the high prices...but somethings are worth it! more

Great experience every time! 5/15/2007

I've been to the Mandarin Oriental Spa 4 or 5 times and highly recomend it. Every time I go, I feel like I'm the only one there. Having been at other day spas and felt like we were all cattle being herded to our different places (The Doral) The Mandarin is so refreshing. Even in the shower/ relaxation area you hardly ever see another person. It may cost a little more but it's worth it! Also, lunch outside by the pool is the perfect finish! Go ahead and treat yourself, you deserve it !!! Pros: Not crowded, awesome massage therapists. Very Quiet and relaxing Cons: A little more expensive but worth every penny! more

There are better places locally that charge a lot less and do better work. Maybe it's o.k. if you have loads of money to spend,but it's not worth it. Sunless Tanning 10/15/2005

I got tired of the mistic tan, etc. so I decided to go back to the original sunless tanning -lotion application which they offer at this spa together with the body scrub. I had a great experience and was extremely pleased with the results. The staff were wonderful and polite and the actual spa was simply gorgeous and relaxing....I did not want to leave!! Although the prices are high, I think the experience is worth it. more

Tranquility 8/31/2005

The spa experience begins the moment you step into the spa with iced green tea and cold water with orange or lime slices, as well as a very tranquil waterfall in the relaxation room. Francesca is the best masseuse I have ever had anywhere in the world. She works out the pains in your body, while still giving you a wonderfully relaxing experience. However, the Manicure & Pedicure I had there a few years ago was the worst I have ever had. Pros: Tranquility, Pure bliss Cons: Extremely expensive more

What a wonderful experience! One can just fall back and relax. Even before the treatment started I was treated like a special guest. Relaxing in the lounge, I almost forgot why I was there! The attendant sees to your every need, while you just lay back in the comfy lounge, reading and sipping lemon water. By the time the therapist came to get me I was almost asleep-this place relaxes you from the moment you enter till you leave. Pros: Beautiful Surrounding, Expert Therapists, Congenial Staff more

Expensive, but worth a try. 3/25/2004

With the exception of the poor attitude of a restaurant employee, the staff was extremely friendly and the ESPA Total Relaxation Package was a first-rate experience. more
