Mandarin Garden

Having been in the military and travelled often, I have had the Spicy Kung Pao Prawn all over the country and none have even come close to the flavor and texture that I have experienced at Manderin Garden. Their pan fried noodles are almost as good as the prawn. I have been coming to this place everytime that I visit California before my son was born up until now. This year will make me a 20 year veteran when I come to Berkeley for my son's graduation from Berkeley High School. In all the time that I have visited from day one, the owner has never forgotten me and knows exactly what my order will consist of before I tell him no matter how long I have been away. That is top of the line customer relations and customer service. This will be the first year that I get to share this experience with my new wife and baby daughter since they have never been to California nor tasted the rainbow of Mandarin Garden. It makes you feel as if your mouth is floating on clouds of food happiness. Pros: Best prawn in the nation. Cons: The only one is trying to find parking by the restaurant. more

Okay, General Tao's Chicken=fantasmic, their sesame fried banana balls?? Incredible. Steamed rice is steamed rice.. The pot stickers were not as good as King Dong's. And there was something else that came with it, i tried, i think it was some type of fish, kind of bland with like pea pods or something.. I didn't order it, got it anyway, whatever. put it in the fridge, will have it for breakfast. I like that they called when they finally got here, instead of coming to my door and banging loudly on it like the Dong. more

I loved the peking duck! I swear it was better than the duck I had in Beijing! Potstickers are really good, there's no line to wait in, AWESOME! more
