and finish with the Chinese donuts. Eat as much as you can in between. I've been to every location of Mandarin house in Knoxville and Sevierville and I've never disliked anything on the buffet. It's very reasonably priced - less than $10. The service is great. My favorites are the Chinese potatoes (sliced very thin), vegetable tempura (I dip mine in the sweet and sour sauce) and the General Tso's chicken. The last dish is the best I've ever had.
It doesn't have seafood like many Chinese buffets do, but it does have a salad bar. I find the salad bar a little strange but to each his own. I can't eat salad when there's perfectly good chicken in spicy garlic sauce on the next aisle. The restaurant does have some things for kids. Usually chicken tenders are on the buffet. You can also order entrées from the menu if you don't like the buffet.
Something that makes this particular location great is that, while it's just as crowded as other locations, tables are spread out a little more. You can have a heart-to-heart here without the couple at the next table hearing every word.
