Terrific pizza but beware the long wait. Its worth the wait but don't be in a hurry 5/9/2008

Really tasty pizza but they have no idea how to run a kitchen. Pizza orders usually take about an hour and they will always tell you it will take 15-20 minutes. I order to go and show up about 45-50 minutes after I order so the wait time is cut. Its worth the wait just tell me the real time it will be ready not some hopeful lie. Order the pizza before you are hungry and your appetite will be just right when it is ready. Pros: Really tasty pizza Cons: Long waits and parking lot is often very full. more

Best Pasta Anywhere 1/28/2008

This place is incredible! The last time I was in I had Mamma?s Chicken Pesto Manicotti. I could taste that they make their crepe with top quality cheese, but what really put it over the top was the pesto sauce. It was delicious and was the best pesto sauce I have ever had. I mean ever! Next to try is Mamma?s Pasta with Clams. I am looking forward to working my way down the menu and my new gourmet hangout. I am a pasta nut - but plan to try a couple of slices on one of my next visites. Pros: Great value - could pay double at other places with lesser quality food Cons: No frills place more

Don't Bother 1/26/2008

After having moved to South Pasadena, I was looking for a good pizza delivery place. Tried Mommas after seeing the good reviews and how close it is. Pizza arrived with the bottom crust so soggy I could barely hold it to eat it. Tasted under-cooked and greasy. Pros: It did arrive to my doorstep Cons: Soggy, nasty, under-cooked, mess! more

This place was a great find. It is not fancy - but wow the food is incredible. Mamma?s has the best Pizza I have ever had. ? a perfect crust and delicious sauce. We love the pasta too, though. more

Thin crust pizza 9/14/2007

Placed an order for pick up on a Thursday at 8pm, it took 15 min. Brick oven gourmet pizza has a nice thin crust and flavorful sausage. Small, no frills dining area of red checkered tablecloths. Staff seemed to take pride in the quality of food they were serving, very helpful and very friendly. more

Awesome Pizza and Pasta 4/9/2007

I have been to Mamma's Brick Oven 3 times in the last week. This place mades the best New York style Piizza I havde every had. Hands down. The crust is just right and the sauce really puts the pizza over the top. A couple of days I had the Penne Carbonara - HMMMM. It was great. I recommed that you try this place - you wil love it! Best New York Style Pizza 1/25/2007

I am from New York and this little restaurant makes a real New York style pizza. I've tried many pizzeria and believe me this place has got my vote. You can get them by the slice and the food on the showcase are made fresh all day long. I recently discovered that they have an early bird special if you place your order between 3-5 p.m. which is great because they are usually very busy in the evening. more
