When first opened this place was the BEST! Now the food cost alot more, food is not that good, service sucks. I WILL NOT RETURN EVER! Owner is rude and should go back to NY...

IIIII LLLLOOOOVVEEEE MAMBO!! 10/2/2009

What a great dining experience! As soon as my boyfriend and I walked in, the owners made us feel at home. We were advised to try some of the delicious homemade wine served up italian style with fresh slivers of peach and apple. The eggplant rollitini is absolutley the BEST in NC, and the ricotta cheese is the CREAMIEST I have ever had! We aren't typically desert eaters, but Ron urged us to try Bella's homemade Tirimasu and WOW! Now we order it every time we go. Even the bread is amazing...always fresh and chewy... and the salad...perfect. This is the perfect place to go with your family or a big group. I highly advise getting the ravioli and the homade the lasagna! We will definatley be regulars. :) Pros: Bella's sweet sweet riccotta Cons: I want to eat it sooo much, I am gonna become fat! more

Excellent ............. 10/1/2009

We have had dinner here a number of times and the food has been excellent and ""plentiful"". The service has been excellent. One night we had our dinner club of 7 couples and there were 14 very satisfied diners. That alone is remarkable for this group. We love the place and are making it our Italian Restaurant of choice. Did I mention the house white wine with an apple slice. Excellent. \r \r Pros: My wife says the Chicken Marsala is one of the best Cons: None that I can recall more

A Great Family Style Italian Restaurant 9/30/2009

If you want a family friendly restaurant where you get tons of food at reasonable prices, this is it. The owner, staff and especially ""Norm the Bartender"" are terrific. All your wants and needs are provided for with a smile! You will not go home hungry and most likely you'll take home a tomorrows lunch. Pros: Plenty of Food Cons: None found so far more

Great Italian Food 9/29/2009

Mambo Italiano is my favorite Italian Restaurant. So far I have tried the eggplant parm, baked clams, raviolis, chicken saltaboca, their delicious pizza, the huge Meatball Salad, and the pasta in clams sauce, and it's all been fantastic. I'm now looking forward to going this Saturday night to hear Carmin the Italian vocalist sing Frank Sinatra songs while I sit at the bar with Norm The Bartender! It's deinately worth making a reservation for so they can save you a seat! Pros: Great quality and great taste more

The B-E-S-T Italian food anywhere! 9/24/2009

Not only is the food delicious, but Ron and Bella are absolutely the most hospitable people to be found on earth. They go out of their way to make sure you are having a great time enjoying their perfectly seasoned made fresh daily food. I have eaten there at least 4 times and the food is always perfect. EVERYTHING is homemade. The portions are large so you can have leftovers for lunch! The homemade wine is devine. Josh, a waiter, is exceptional in his knowledge of the menu and his friendly service. The Taste of NY has arrived in Apex 9/15/2009

If you want the taste of great Italian food look no further than Mambo's. The minute you walk into the restaurant you feel right at home. Ron and Bella are the bomb!!! My husband and I have now made this our Friday night date night. We just keep going down the menu and trying everything and when we get to the bottom will start all over again. Bella makes all the desserts herself. You must try the Italian cheesecake!!! If you stop in on Friday night, you must walk in and greet Norm the bartendar. He will make you laugh with all his ""Normisms"". \r \r If you want a great dining experience go check it out. Sit at the bar, have a glass of the homemade wine with a slice of peach and relax. Then get ready for the meal of your life!!! Pros: Fantastic food, great owners and excellent wait staff more

Jen didn't mention what the G105 half price hook up says when you bye the certs resturants have the right to except whatever they agree to per table and Mambo agreed to 1 per table and G105 had a typo and did not write the info as such but there web site upon purchase cleary stats the deal Pros: best real italian food in america Cons: i cant afford to eat there every day more

    We are renowned for our warm, welcoming atmosphere and authentic, homemade Italian dishes originating from Italy. Our reasonably priced menu hosts abundant portions of daily made pasta, pizza, Italian deserts and seasonal specials. The serving sizes are reminiscent of old-style family dinners, where there was always enough to go around and you could have seconds. Be sure to make room for dessert, like the cannolis or tiramisu!
