Best

Go for the booze and the decor. Have a little fun. Get the nachos in a hub cap and relax. It's fun! It's Baltimore, Hon! Pros: Elvis Cons: Parking

I love, I mean I LOVE Tex-Mex! I've heard so many rave reviews of Nacho Mama's that figured a visit was...

Is not REAL Tex-Mex!!!! 8/25/2002

Being a native Texan, I have eaten lots of real Tex-Mex. This resturant does not come near the real stuff! Beans taste like the canned variety. Food does not have the real Tex-Mex spices. Rice is sticky. They mean well, but I would rate it mediocre at best. On a brighter note, Salsa is ok, Iced Tea is great. The atmosphere is interesting. more

nacho average serving 8/13/2002

favorite place to visit when on the western shore. the atmosphere is eclectic and the food superb. starting with the salad infused with blue cheese and a zippy dressing (large enough for 3 to share) to any entree on the menu, you can't go wrong. if skunny the owner is in attendance you're in for a triple treat. ask him to recite some of his jokes. while not a margarita drinker, somehow sipping from a hubcap makes it doable. a great place to have fun and eat like a ""king"" on a pauper's purse. Pros: location, good atmosphere, great service Cons: parking more

Nacho Mama's 8/8/2002

When I moved to Baltimore I was told I had to go to Nacho Mama's probably 50 or so times. I was not at all disappointed and no one was exaggerating. Comfort food? You eat and eat and cannot stop until you are most uncomfortable. The best food and believe it or not, the BEST meatloaf ever! Pros: Food, Food, Food, Lots of Seating, Great Staff more

Great 'ritas 8/1/2002

Have been there many times. The food and margarita's are always great. Small place, but if you have to wait, its well worth the wait. Pros: Inexpensive, Delicious, Fun Cons: Crowded more

Feeding Frenzy 7/26/2002

Nacho Mamas has delicious food, great drinks and a laid back atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new place to go or who just would like to kick back, eat, have a few cocktails and listen to some good music. We always order way too much food because we want everything on the menu. more

A REAL Baltimore treasure! 6/11/2002

Finally, a place actually worth mentioning! Its a bar/restaurant so dont expect fancy dining. But its certainly a lot of fun.... funny decor, friendly people, tasty food, and close to lots of canton bars. Go on Tuesday for the Two for Tuesday special! YUMMMM Really cheap too!! more

An Awesone Experience 6/6/2002

This is a great place to go in Baltimore where you can really get a feel for the city & the people. Everyone is so friendly & the bar tenders & owner will remember you if you frequent there. The Baltimore memorabilia is quite ""unique"" and brings back a lot of memories for us locals. The food is really good although you wouldn't think so by looking at the outside. It is situated in a row house in Canton. They are very popular & extremely busy on the weekends. They don't accept reservations so be prepared to wait. (It's not that bad. Lots of socializing to be done.) Don't forget to try a Margarita in a hub cap! Pros: Crowded, Inexpensive, Yummy Food Cons: Parking, Crowded more
