Mama T's closed down last year for a while -- renovations, I think -- and I was a bit upset: I thought another good restaurant had vanished.. Fortunately, they re-opened a few months later. Mama T's bills itself as a "trattoria" -- a casual, quasi-cafeteria type restaurant. They've changed that somewhat -- at one time, the food was put together right in front of you and now it comes from the kitchen. However, the service is super fast and the portions are hearty. The usual Italian suspects are here -- lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, etc. -- but you can also get specialties like gelatti for desert and even Italian beer. A nice change of pace.
