I wish I found these reviews before I just spent $90 bucks... I just had the worst fettucini alfredo with chicken ??? and the ""chicken"" was questionable. It was overcooked, slimy, and fatty! The alfredo sauce tasted like it had some other type of gravy mixed in it... The waitress was working her butt off but because she was working so hard we missed any other type of atmosphere than ""hectic"". The best part of the night was the garlic, vineger, and oil dip for the bread. The garlic fries were below average. Very very disapointing... Neither me or my 2 sons really touched our meal. We politely said we filled up on bread, and they said that happens all the time. Hmmm. Says a lot. Pros: Close to gilroy gardens, crayons to write on the paper on the table. Maybe I am hard to please at times, but when I go out to eat I feel I am paying for good food, polite service. those are the only two things I expect. With MAma Mias I have only gotten average food and always poor service. No I have eaten in real Itilian restaurants as well as many traditiaonl Itialian homes. and NEVER have I recieved such bad service. more

This was the most dissapointing dinner at an ""Italian Restaurant"" that I think I have ever had. I ordered the Osso Bucco. The chef made the sauce with poultry stock. It was served with pasty mashed potatoes, the meat was dry and the vegetables were completely undercooked. How do you screw up a dish like this? The waitstaff was all over the place. We must have had three different servers throughout our meal come to our table. On a lighter note, the calamari fritti was very good. Everything else was far from ""authentic"". Mama Mia's Ristorante Italiano in Gilroy is superbly great! The food tastes like authetic Italian food that my great-grandmother used to make when I was a young kid. They have big portions with fair prices!! I highly recommend this excellent establishment to anyone!! Pros: GOOD PARKING, GOOD SERVICE, INEXPENSIVE Cons: NONE, NONE, NONE more
