While the food might be authentic the servers and owners definitely do not share in the Italian charm. My parents and I went to Mama Lena's after reading the reviews, looking forward to delicious Italian. We were promptly seated and served a small basket of bread. After our side salads were served our server offered to bring more bread which we happily accepted. Our food arrived and after one bite my Dad strongly disliked the lobster ravioli. The serving was very small (5 pieces to be exact) and was poorly cooked. Our server asked if everything was ""delicious"" and we expressed our dissatisfaction with the lobster ravioli. She apologized but nothing was done and no manager ever came over. We were still waiting for bread when our server took our plates off the table. At that time we asked to speak to a manager and were told that no manager was working that evening (Thursday night at 7:00pm). We then asked for the manager’s phone number so that we could call express our concerns. After multiple requests, our server told us that the manager/owner's wife was going to come speak to us. She arrived and promptly asked ""What is your problem, I see you ate all of your food"". My Dad calmly tried to explain that the food was bad and we were not given more bread till after our meal was over. She angrily kept telling us that ""she was sorry"" and that ""it can't be that bad since we ate the food"". She became increasingly agitated and finally picked up the book with our receipt (we had already paid for our meal) and stormed off yelling at us to ""leave and have a good night"". Mind you the entire encounter with the owner's wife was only a minute long. My only hope is that the woman who presented herself as the owner's wife was indeed not his wife. Overall this was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. DO NOT GO TO MAMA LENA'S unless you enjoy bad service and being yelled at by the owner's wife.
