My experience at this small diner, with its family feel, was outstanding. Before I made up my mind, I was standing off to side, allowing another customer to go in front of me. The women at the counter recognized him and asked if he'd like his "usual". I was pretty impressed that there was such a high caliber of small-town-like service in the heart of the big city like Oakland. My omelet was served fresh and hot with fried potatoes and onions. Before I even had a chance to ask, the server produced a bottle of ketchup and inquired whether I would also like hot sauce. The potatoes were perfectly crisped, and the omelet quite tasty. There was also more food than I could eat in one sitting. I recommend this diner without reservation.
