I’ve suffered a severe dental phobia since I was a child. The dentists in my era were scary. There was no such thing as a “patient psychology” or “patient ethics” back then! If there was anything wrong with a tooth, it was almost as if they blamed you for it, so you deserved the rough treatment to follow. The dentist I had was especially evil and treated every problem with the pliers. I was lucky to hit my 20’s with a decent-enough smile! As soon as I was independent, I vowed to never see another dentist again. I stayed true to that vow for 30 years before my oral problems just couldn’t be ignored anymore. \r

I hauled myself off to see a local dentist who took one look at my mouth and said that she didn’t have the resources necessary to restore my smile. So, she referred me to the implant specialists at the MALO CLINIC in Rutherford. Well, let me tell you, the idea of dental implants was enough for me to put off that appointment for many months. It was only when one of my back molars actually came out while brushing my teeth that I decided to stop being ridiculous. I was so ashamed of how I had neglected my teeth over the years and yet so afraid to do anything about it. \r

As it turned out, all of my fear was ‘much ado about nothing.’ I saw Dr. Moss for All-on-4 dental implants and Dr. Molina for the upper prosthetic dental bridge that was required to replace my broken and failing teeth. They were both compassionate, understanding and explained everything in detail. They offered me sedation before the surgery to calm my nerves and anaesthesia for the surgery itself. It was painless!\r

I now take much better care of my new teeth (which look amazing and work well too) and I’m religious about going to MALO CLINIC Health & Wellness every six months for appointments with my favorite dentists. \r

Funny... never thought I’d have a ‘favorite dentist!’
