We had my wedding band custom designed here to match my engagement ring and they were amazing to work with. They are honest, listened to what we wanted, gave excellent advice/ had creative, great ideas and we are SO happy with how it turned out! I was very pleased with my experience here. I had some very fine jewelry to sell, and being unsure about local market practices in Portland was very happy to meet David. I felt as though we were having more of a conversation about product than a debate about price. It is obvious to me that the owners have an appreciation for what they do, the quality of their merchandise, and are willing to discuss options. I was surprised that he even called in another local dealer in to discuss the items with me. I felt no pressure, in fact enjoyed the experience, and left their shop favorably impressed. Some other jewelry dealers in Portland are more focused on moving product at strict percentage income, and would be willing to gouge an unwitting customer. Malka Diamonds & Jewelry strikes me as antithetical to that mindset. more

I bought a ring for my wife for our ten year anniversary from Malka Diamonds. This was a custom ring, nothing super fancy, but a design and stone selection I was not finding ""off the shelf."" David Malka went above and beyond finding the ring/setting I envisioned and bringing in stones that more than exceeded my expectations. He had me come in to inspect the first set of stones he got in and his smile never flickered when I rejected them. He simply got exactly what I wanted and stayed within the budget I had in mind. more

I have had the good fortune of shopping at this store several times in the last few months since they opened. Once you shop here and realize that not only do they have an amazing selection of beautiful jewelry at more than fair prices, but that the customer service is BEYOND, you just can't help yourself but to make it a regular stop! Finally, Portland has a jewelry store that offers it all. David Malka is friendly and helpful (not to mention knowledgeable!)...a refreshing switch from some of the other local jewelry stores I've dealt with. As with anyone else, I can't afford to drop a bundle of money every time I shop, however no matter how much I'm interested in spending (from diamonds to simple inexpensive gold hoops to just stopping in for a look around) the Malkas made me feel just as important a customer. I'm definitely hooked on the service and quality of this new local business. Thanks Malka Diamonds for revitalizing my excitement for Portland jewelry shopping!!! I'll be back...again! more
