Great Personal Service! 10/4/2011

My problem was a phonograph turntable that had a bad hum. I brought it in to have it serviced. The gentleman behind the counter asked to take a look at it. With me holding it and with him prodding it with his ohm meter, he was able to diagnose the problem right on the spot. It was a simple matter of replacing the audio cables coming out of the turntable. Talk about excellent, personalized service! I brought the turntable home and it hasn't sounded as good in years. I couldn't be happier. It is so rare to get this kind of service these days. more

mom and pop shop does great. 2/19/2009

I have been shopping here since I was 14 (now 33). These guys have been nothing but help full over the years. They have a good selection and if they don't have something, they are more than happy to special order. Their staff always has the right answer to any question I have, and they seem to care about my needs. I have had many repairs done for me and they are always top notch. more

Decent small town shop 11/11/2008

I've been in this shop several times, as it seems to be the most convenient music store to my home. Although they have always met basic needs, it is not a large store and does not offer a lot of variety. The staff has always been helpful in assisting me with finding what I needed. Good reliable small town shop. more

The worst place to buy your gear in town! 7/16/2008

Make 'n' Music's been the only game in town for a long time now to get your music gear, and they know it. Everything is overpriced and the staff is surly and rude. If you're in the market for some new gear, don't stay local, head down the road to gaithersburg, rockville, or any other generic guitar center, anything's better than this place. more
