Main Street Bistro & Bakery

Have eaten here off and on a couple years now. They make all of their pastries and desserts fresh daily and are the best in the Metroplex. Some of my favorite entrees are the French Brie Panini, Spinach Salad, Tomato Basil Soup, & Pulled Pork Sandwich. Definitely one of my favorite spots to eat when in the area. I have eaten here before and the food is off and on, but usually pretty good, however the service is never good. Ever. When you walk in the staff just looks at you and goes back to their conversation with each other without even a hello. They cannot be bothered to help you in the least. I usually get my food to go and am always left standing and waiting for someone to help until I stop someone. The food just isn't good enough for me to continue to come back and be ignored. I went here for a lunch meeting and was disgusted with the service, the decor, and the attitude! The food was bland and not worth the arm and leg I paid for it! Next time I go for a meeting, I'll bring my own and sit outside rather than give them one more stinkin' dollar!!!!!! At one point someone in my group knocked over their water, and the waitress suggested one of us go inside and ""get something to clean that up."" Mine and everyone else's tea has spoiled so it was iced vineigar, and THEY STILL CHARGED US FOR IT!!! While waiting outside for the rest of our group, we were asked if we were going to get something or not, and if not we should go sit on a bench nearby. This place was just ridiculous! Pros: Out door seating, Decent dessert. Cons: Rude wait staff, expensive, foul tatsing entes and vinigared tea. more

I got worms in the creamer!!! They only offered to pay for the coffe. They were alive and moving. Very grose experience. Watch out for creamer there and ask for the individual packages if you don't want them to crawl in your mouth. more

FIRST OFF LET ME TELL YOU. I HAD THE BEST TIME IN YOUR RESTURANT. THE STAFF WAS FREINDLY\r THE DECOR WAS AWSOME, THE PATIO WAS VERY NICLEY SETUP. AND THE DESSERTS WERE AWSOME. First of all, let me describe the back seating area of this restaurant: Men?s bathroom to your left, Lady?s bathroom to your right, and wait staff station (tea, coffee, sodas, glasses, silverware, etc) right behind you. This is your surrounding. What in the world were they thinking when they designed this place? Let?s move on.\r I took some friends who were here on a visit from Germany around 9 o?clock on Sat June 21, 2008. There were 7 of us. The hostess did not greet us and took us to the back area. I told her that we didn?t want to sit there and preferred another table. But, she cared more about the waiter than customers. She insisted that we had to sit there. I could not believe that she was arguing with us while there were plenty of other tables available. After a few minutes of arguing, we moved to another table. This must have made the waiter upset, because he didn?t come to our table for 10 to 15 minutes. When he finally showed up, he was rude and wanted to let us know he was not happy that we moved on our own. \r When he brought our drinks, he would not go around the table and had our guests pass the drinks. \r Our 2 orders of fried calamari were extremely salty and we had them retuned. We did not get credit for them, no surprise. They did not bring the food at the same time and did not know who ordered what. \r Summary: unprofessional hostess, rude wait staff, mediocre food.\r more

I have a town house in the Shops at Legacy and used to frequent at this restaurant because it is so close to our home and has enjoyable food (if you stay away form the margarita's that have orange joice in them). I was in on May 24th and on the 25th noticed that my bank account had two charges from Main Street Bistro when it should have only had one. When I called to report it a manager told me that he would get back with me that evening. Two days later I had heard nothing. I have called twice since then and have had the same response with zero follow though. For all I know they could be hanging up the phone and throwing my information in the trash. They offerend no apologies and have not picked up the phone once to remedy the situation. They can keep my money and lose at least one good customer. more

I've been here twice in the past week and the food has been great each time. It's reliable for a good meal, whether for lunch or dinner. I know they serve breakfast as well, but I have yet to try that. Their desserts are quite good, with my favorite being their lava cake (only served after 5:00p.m.). If you do order the lava cake, make sure to order it when your dinner is served because it takes 15 minutes to prepare. Pros: Good food, friendly service, very European interior Cons: It's colder in the dining area by the bathrooms, and they could use more booth seating. more
