My boyfriend and I came here before and it was pretty decent. The food was piping hot and the staff were very friendly.
When we went back last weeked, it was under new management. Walking in there was only one other customer eating alone. There were two young boys sitting behind the counter chatting. A young girl who was standing outside chatting with her friend walked in immediately to seat us. We initially thought the young girl was a customer because she was dressed very casually; a black hooded sweat shirt and jeans.
We ordered some sort of indian crepe, garlic naan, rice, and butter chicken. The indian crepe was pretty good, but the filling was odd. There were parts of the filling that were salty and other parts that were not; as if the chef got lazy and didn't want to mix the spices in evenly.
We got our garlic naan along with our rice and butter chicken. The naan was burnt pretty badly, yet we used the sauce from the butter chicken to hide the burnt taste. The butter chicken was pretty decent; very creamy and plenty of tomato flavor. However, there was very few chicken pieces in that dish.
The worst thing that we got was the rice. I really, truly believe they served us old rice. The rice was cold and clumpy. I eat rice every night and I can tell the difference between old rice and fresh rice. This rice was disgusting. Indian rice is ususally long grain, clump free, and with some spices in it. On yeah, I found something in it, a kernal of corn, and I'm sure the rice they served us was from there remaining lunch buffet!
I will never go back there again and you shouldn't go there either. If you want nasty old, burnt Indian food, then go! But don't say I didn't warn you!
Pros: The staff was mediocre
Cons: Food was horrible. The amibience was killing me! Play some tv, some music, something! I heard the loud banging from next door and it drove me insane!
