Good Doctor, He fixed my feet when i was 11, now im 19 and still going strong. 9/7/2008

I went to Doctor Mahan about 8 years ago... i was just getting out of 5th grade. I was actually given his name after a local doctor knew he wouldnt be able to fix my feet (i had rigid metarsus adductus, flat foot, and if memory serves my foot was rolling inwards to try and fix itself) As a 5th grader(about 11 years old) i was very worried about having my first surgery and if my feet would ever be normal, however Dr.Mahan was a cheerful guy who always answered every little question i could come up with everytime i saw him before and after the surgery. He is an amazing doctor who made me feel comfortable, and whom me and my parents would both go to see again if we needed to. You can always trusted his judgement and his calls on what to do and not to do (he didn't think having both feet done at once would be a good idea like i thought lol). My feet to this day are staying strong, and though i have other peoples bones in my feet, screws, pins etc, i can walk for more thena few hours without my feet killing me, 8 years after the surgery. I know if my kids happen to have the same problem i did, i will definately see if i can get him again. Iono if he remembers me, but i am forever in hi debt. Pros: Nice, Good, Quality care, comforting, down to earth. Cons: near some questionable parts of phily, Traffic can be bad on mondays if u need a check-up, more

Extremely talented doctor who cares! 8/14/2008

Dr. Mahan was recommended to me by a friend to take care of an ankle deformity that I have been coping with since birth. Dr. Mahan suggested surgery and explained in great detail what was to be done. I am still in recovery after 4 months, but my ankle feels better than it has for a very long time. The doctor takes his valuable time and explains all answers to my many questions in detail. He also responds to email! What doctor takes the time to do that? This has been the best experience that I have had with any doctor that I have seen in the past. He is an asset to Temple University and to his profession! Pros: flexible hours, highly organized Cons: none more
