Downsides to Magruders is the aisle space and the store is older. The positives are in abundance. I have gone to this grocery store since I was a little girl. I remember sitting in the carts while my mom shopped. I LOVE IT. The produce is SO cheap. Yesterday (July 10), the strawberries was $1 a box and tomatoes were about 88 cents a pound. Cucumbers are 3 for a $1. They are super coupon friendly. The ladies in the deli are mean until you get to know them and then they will do anything for you. Get to know the guy who loads your car and don't forget to tip him. Then he will never forget you. more

Magruders 9/26/2005

Magruders may not be the prettiest, most modern store in downtown Vienna but it has great, cheap produce. They have a wide variety too, I am able to find many produce items I use in oriental and hispanic cooking that I'm not able to buy at Giant or Safeway. They also have great plants right outside with their produce. more
