Worth the drive from Salinas 12/30/2009

I've been a client of Magic Nails before they were located at the Del Monte Center and I have never had a single problem with my nails. I have always gotten timely appointments and care, and gracious service. I had been to a few other nail salons prior to finding Magic Nails, and I had always had problems with my nails so I keep going back to sure thing. I know I will always walk out satisfied. I use to live in the SF Bay Area so I would have to arrange my appointments according to my commute, but it was worth the trouble. I'm still traveling over from Salinas, but I won't go anywhere else. more

Great Pedicure! 4/13/2009

I have to note that this is the place for a good, podiatry recommended pedicure. I had two toe nails fixed from getting a poor pedicure at another salon, he recommended Magic Nails. I got a fabulous pedicure there, and the paraffin wax treatment was awesome....have had no problems w/ my toes since changing to Magic Nails... more

I live in Salinas and drive to Monterey 3/8/2009

I lived in Monterey and loved going to Magic Nails, but wanted to find one closer. Tried 3 in Salinas and wished I hadn't have wasted my money. Magic Nails continues to be the best around. Lynn is absolutely fantastic. I get pink and white and she does it naturally and flawlessly every time. My roommate goes to Cindy and she does a great job too! They just got all new spa pedicure chairs with pretty colored glass bowls. Well worth the drive!! more

Will not go back 1/23/2009

I went to Magic Nails for several years. I will never go back. I had the pink and white nails and although they looked decent from a distance, they were very thick. Tina did my nails and I have never had anybody be as rude as she was. She would jerk my hands back and forth and tell me how hard it was to do my nails. Nobody else has ever complained about me before or after her. She also would keep me waiting even though I had an appointment. I would walk in and it would look as if she had just started someone else so I would have to sit and wait. I tried other girls at this place but my nails were a mess. I finally gave up. more

Nice mani/pedi 5/15/2008

I stopped in for a mani/pedi before I left on vacation. Even though the salon was quite busy, my pedicure lasted 45minutes and was WONDERFUL! My manicure was nice and very relaxing, but the paint was put on a bit thick and the whole thing started chipping and peeling in about a day. I don't think I'd return for a manicure, but I'd go back in a second for another pedicure. Pros: Pedicures are long and the staff was friendly. Cons: Crowded. more

THey do the best pink and whites!!! 3/8/2008

I've been going to Magic Nails for years. I used to get the white tips long long time ago and they were horrible. They would always turn yellow. I was recommended be a very good friend of mine that I should get the pink and whites at Magic Nails. And I've been going there ever since. Eight years in counting. They have a large staff that are very friendly and good. Pedicures are the best. I love their massages. Please make sure you make an appointment but they are good with walk-ins. I definitely recommend this place!! more

I always get a pink and white when I go up there. They do a very good job. They pay a lot of attention to their customers. The Technicians are understanding. I feel safe when I get my nails done there. Magic Nails is the best Nail Salon I've ever been to. That's why I stuck with it for as long as i did. more

We are certified from the State Board for cleaning and disinfected pedicure tubs. We use 3in1 disinfectant cleaner-deodorizer, this is the most chemical for Hospital use for killing the VIRUCIDE-FUNGICIDE(AGAINST PATHOGENIC FUNGI). Also we clean and disinfected the spa after each client. It's impossible for the virus transfer from person to person. more

Tammy's your girl! 7/11/2007

I NEVER ever go to mall salons but my friend was going so I tagged along. I went in for pink and white and I saw a girl who looked friendly and non-pushy. this was the famous TAMMY! She did my pink and white SO carefully and made really sweet conversation. There was no pressure for extra charges and she took care of my nails like no other. I get comments every day about how nice they look and I go back to her every 2 weeks! She's great ... if you can get an appointment with her. (in my opinion) She's their best girl. The other staff give me the impression they've "worked the beat" a little too long. She's worth the wait so make an appointment with her. you won't be disappointed! Pros: TAMMY!!!! Cons: busy and grouchy older staff more

My two friends that did go ended up going to see a doctor as well.\r \r Friend #1: She was a regular there for about 1 year. Her acrylic nails got fungus, because the doctor whom had to remove her whole nail found that there was a seasame seed stuck between her pinky nail and the acrylic. She said her nail was green.\r \r Friend #2: Had gotten one pedicure, before my other friend found out she had fungus/infection. Any how, she ended up getting toe fungus and her tow turned blackish brown and spread to one other toe. She got some pills from her doctor to clear it up. more

fast, maybe too fast 7/12/2006

If you want a fast pedicure, this is the place to go for $30.00 you can get a 15 minute mediocre pedicure. Unfortunately, I would prefer a tidier, slow paced and relaxing environment, not the high priced factory-esque (in and out) feeling I got. Pros: at the mall Cons: too busy, too expensive more

Great pedicure 4/25/2006

My five friends and I made an appointment at this salon and they were able to acommodate us in groups of three. We really enjoyed our day out and it was a plus that we were able to chat and enjoy the pampering together. more
