Magic Cottage

I'm carol and I started working there when I was 19 and left at 26 all these negative comments are false! Levittown magic is a great school and us teachers even take training every month. They have a daily sheet filled out everyday in the baby room, younger and in older toddlers to show when your child was changed, how well they ate and how long they slept. Andrea V. The Director can be tough but that is only because she cares about the children and her school. I was there 7yrs and she was always there for me. you just have to get to know her. I got diagnosed with something and she gave me a month off and held my job till I was well enough to come back to work. She cares but just does not allow people to treed on her or her business. The school is clean so I don't understand some of those comments... Its an older school that's all there is to it. They follow the stars program and has earned stars. Stars would not give out stars if it was not up to standard. If you are thinking about taking your child there I most definitely would. My nephew was there from 8mons to pre k and was well taking care of as well as learned a lot. <3 Carolyn Smarr more

The parent/teacher communication is absolutely horrible. I also question the privacy of the children. I was once told about an incident with my child and another child and they told me the other child?s name and that is not acceptable. I am glad I got my kid out of there as soon as possible. I would not trust any of the teachers of directors at the LEVITTOWN location. It was so difficult to talk to the staff there. I asked for a daily report about my child's day at school and every day I was told he had a good day. (They do not provide you with a written sheet of their activities for the day). There were things happening for example my child getting hit by another kid, or my child hitting them back etc. They didn?t tell me about these things until 3-4 weeks after they already occurred. I am truly concerned about their decision making skills. They lied to me for almost a month! more

My son is 3 yrs old and has been going to this school since he was almost 2 yrs old. I've never once had a problem with the school. They keep them active all day long on new projects and teaching them new things everyday. Everyone there is very nice to both my son and myself. They make me feel like part of a big family. The teachers he's had care about his one on one needs. Everyone knew me by first name basis and my son as well within one month that he was going here. Yes I admit the school itself does need a little work. The painting in the hallways and classrooms need to be redone however, they are working on all of this. They just redid all of the pavement in the front parking lot and repainted almost all of the childrens rooms. I love his schedule and the fact he gets to go outside and has free play and is taught things in stages and is in a classroom with only his age group, not a bunch of kids mixed together. They help with everything including potty training and anything else your child may have a diffulcult time with. Another thing I do like a lot is that they give the children and families a chance to get together and the children put on a show for their family as well as other family/school events. What matters is that the children are happy and my son enjoys and looks forward to going to school everyday and learns new things all the time. Compared to growing up in Trenton and seeing some of the schools and daycares around that area the Magic Cottage of Levittown is a 1000 times better. Andrea, the owner, is NOT obnoxious whatsoever, in fact she's very nice. Once again the only thing I would say the school actually needs is some physical detailing of the school. more

My daughter attended this daycare for 2 months and we were very unsatisfied with the daycare. This so called family run daycare is nothing special. The price is exhorbitant and the care is below average. The teachers change every month, that tells you something about the management. Dont send your kid here, you will be an unhappy mom like me. my toddler was attending magic cottage in levittown.let me tell you that this place is horrific. Most of the teachers are substandard.Andrea who owns the daycare is one of most obnoxious women i have met in my life. this daycare is like a bomb shelter, very unhygenic and hardly lit. My daughter developed all sorts of allergies and was sick all the time. She started experiencing night terrors and would fear going to daycare. She started spacing out and zoning out time to time. Me and my wife did experience that the caregivers at magic cottage were rude to kids. The way they handle them is so rough. One day my daughters caregiver, was yelling ""Cut it out"" at a toddler who was crying inconsolably. I Am getting calls from them again. It was andrea and now They are claiming that I owe them 1 month tuition fee as penalty for not giving them a notice,threatened me of legal implications.please dont send your kid here.
