Best pizza or pasta I have ever had! 9/18/2007

I am so confused! Is this a Pizza Joint that has the best Italian food I have ever had or is it an Italian Restaurant that has the best Pizza I have ever had? I have been there several times when I am in town and love both their Pizza and their Italian specialty dishes. Pros: Great food, service and value Cons: Too small, hard to get a table more

Underwhelmed 8/5/2006

Here's the order: large pizza, pepperoni all over, and half black olives/half sausage. Here's what we got: large pizza, half black olives/half sausage. How do you leave the pepperoni off of a pepperoni pizza? It doesn't seem obvious, but apparently it is possible.\r \r The pizza at Maggio's is adequate, but nothing special. The sauce is flavorful but a little acidic, and there is too much cheese on the pizza. I like a cheesy pizza, but the cheese shouldn't overwhelm the rest of the flavors and textures.\r \r The garlic bread, on the other hand, was quite good. more

Try the Grilled Chicken Pizza with Alfredo Sauce and Pesto! Great M-F lunch specials (cheaper than fast food!). more

Fabulous Pizza! 7/16/2005

Had 3 large pizzas for takeout last night while camping in Big Bear. I had the pizza w/pesto, tomatoes, and artichoke hearts. I'm a pesto connoiseur and am quite picky...not a big fan of plain (non-sundried) tomatoes either. But this pizza was amazing, among the best I've ever had! They didn't skimp on the pesto (a common problem) and the tomatoes had tons of flavor and were just the right size. The other people w/us said the other pizzas were fabulous too. Our friends ordered the pizza just before closing and they were kind enough to fill our order even though it was the end of service. Would most certainly go back many times over. more

Italian lover 1/25/2005

I enjoyed the restaurant completely. food was very good and lots of it. the best bargan in town. It was very crowded, but that was because others have found what a great restaurant this is! Pros: great food, value, service more
